"I went during off peak season so I had a fairly quiet stay. The staff at the hostel was friendly. The room looked a bit outdated with no decor whatsoever but the bed was comfy and the shower was decent. The breakfast was free which was a plus. There wasn’t any social activities organised by the hostel. The location was nice and it’s easy to get around by foot or by bus."

The room was lovey and the staff went to the extra effort of decorating the room for our anniversary and recent engagement, which was a nice touch. "Booked a deluxe room that was advertised as having a balcony on both hotels.com and Amery House website, however was told this wasn’t the case once we arrived. Hotel staff were friendly and super accommodating do early check in and bed preferences so the balcony was easy to see past. Overall the hotel is very clean minus the leaking shower on the bathroom floor which we had to keep a towel down for. It is a great location central to everything and a super good value. "
