"I absolutely loved this hostel!! Great location, atmosphere, and staff!! Room was clean and comfortable! You may need to save a photo of this hostel on a map however, because most taxi drivers did not know where it was located. Highly recommend!!"

"It was a pleasant and comfortable stay. The owner Shalik and his staff are very professional and responsible to all their guest. They will do all possible things to make ur stay memorable. I stayed at the Mt. Everest room which is located at the 5th floor, very quiet and peaceful room. Despite Shalik busy schedule, he will always give u a time if u need something with regards to any advice, planning and budgeting there in kathmandu. "It was lovely to return to the Mulberry after our time in Pokhara. The staff here are incredibly warm, friendly, and helpful. We are very appreciative of the warmth and generosity we have experienced here. The location is very convenient, we enjoyed walking to local shops and restaurants during our stay. "

Amazing Building, Fantastic Staff

"I had a really great stay here. First, the building is amazing. Staying in a beautiful setting like this really added to my experience in Kathmandu. Second, the staff is great. From thoroughly cleaning my room each day (more than is typical at a hotel) to making sure my bed was heated at night, they were attentive to all my needs. Third, the breakfast buffet was great. They also augmented it with some Nepali cuisine cooked to order. The only negative is that I seemed to have an allergic reaction to something in the room that caused me to sneeze quite a bit. "

Hotel Shanker-Palatial Heritage Kathmandu

"This was an amazing place to stay...a former palace. It is elegant, beautiful, has spacious rooms with all the amenities, a wonderful restaurant with an impeccable menu at great prices, and pool. It is in a great and safe location, 5 mins from shops and main restaurants at a $2 cab ride away but peaceful where it is located.The breakfast buffet is delicious and varied. The massage was the best I've ever had anywhere in the world. The staff was extraordinary, helpful, &kind. I left significant money by mistake on the reception counter and was leaving in the cab, but staff from reception came running outside to bring me the money I had forgotten. That is beyond honest! "
