Simple Living at Luxurious, Modern Farmhouse on Bainbridge Island. Dogs ok.

Reminiscent of an old barn on the outside, the farmhouse is luxuriously fresh, contemporary, and romantic. Enjoy morning coffee on the porch surrounded by nature. Wander miles of forested trails or a casual island bike ride or paddle nearby waters. Located in the historic farming community of Eagledale, your lovely 850 sf home is two miles from the ferry and a short walk to forest trails and Puget Sound waters. You will love the fresh, white, modern and light-filled interior. Radiant pipes heat the concrete floors and wood-planked vaulted ceilings top off the bright space you will call home. A special Vermont Castings propane stove keeps the space warm and cozy while thoughtful finishes show incredible attention to details. Privacy abounds in your space and on the surrounding green space. We love to have dog visitors and provide special amenities when you let us know that your 4-legged family is joining you when you book your stay.

Your adventure begins...

...in a new, modern, and fresh space with tons of natural light and privacy. Just imagine waking to the sounds of farm animals, sipping morning coffee on your covered porch as sunlight breaks through the big leaf maples. You can spend your days wandering miles of forested trails, biking island roads, kayaking or paddle boarding or combing sandy beaches of Puget Sound, searching for sea treasures. When nighttime falls, share stories around your backyard bonfire while counting stars as they fall from the sky.

Reminiscent of an old barn on the outside, natural light bounces off the concrete floors and fills every nook and cranny of the bright space. Built with materials that match LEED requirements, allergens, dust, and dirt are as minimal as can be in any living environment.

Radiant heated concrete floors keep you warm when winter days are wet and chilly, and cool when the sun’s rays spread wide across the yard’s big leaf maples. Scattered throw rugs add a dash of color and a soft landing for bare toes. A black cast-iron propane stove, set in a large fireplace surround formed with Rocky Mountain Granite, anchors the open kitchen and living space. An oversized white bubble fan swooshes air in and out paned wood clad windows, keeping the temperature inside always comfortable.

The well-stocked kitchen has all the essentials for cooking. You can cook in the gourmet kitchen with a full set of spices, pots, pans, and baking needs supplied. The special, new appliances include a Thermador dishwasher and gas stove/range. The deep farm sink with pull-out faucet makes cleanup easy.

The bathroom, covered in white subway tile from floor to ceiling, boasts a deep tub and shower combination with excellent water pressure, a comfort height toilet, and a modern vanity with porcelain sink and countertop.

The main floor bedroom has a queen Tempurpedic bed, four oversized windows with views to the forest and open field, and expansive closet space.

Up in the loft you will find a comfy Simmons pillow-top queen bed. Measuring almost 250sf, the loft offers an additional living area with sofa, desk, plenty of drawers for personal items, and bookcases filled with games, reading material, and treasures from around the world. A favorite, heirloom wicker rocking chair anchors the corner.

As a bonus, the grey sofa in the main living room pulls out to a twin-size bed.

Roller shades cover the windows on both levels of home.

A washer and dryer are provided.

Well-behaved dogs are welcomed upon request and review and for a $50 flat fee/stay.

You will sooo enjoy the home
You smile the minute you walk in. The reason for 4 stars is that the bed linens needed replacing.

Annual visit
This was the third year we have stayed at the little farmhouse and as usual it was a wonderful visit. The property is quite charming and the setting lovely. We enjoyed mornings on the front porch listening to the birds and evenings reading in front of the fireplace. The property is perfect for a getaway. Thank you Caroline for being such a wonderful host!

A Serene Setting
This was our second visit to the Little Farmhouse. The bucolic surroundings and glorious silence make this the perfect place to stay when visiting Bainbridge Island. The kitchen is well stocked and super-efficient—don’t be fooled by its small size. The beds were very comfortable and the fireplace and in floor heating make the house cozy warm. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Stylish and peaceful ...
Fresh, clean and new this place was a great refuge for few days. It was quiet and practical as a place to stay while taking in BainBridge Island and the Olympic National Park region. Outstanding design from top to bottom.

We desired a hideaway nestled in nature but, having the contemporary interior we enjoy. This quiet home was a perfect match with the plus of also being close to charming Winslow.

Nice place, quiet but close to Winslow (downtown Bainbridge)
We had a nice time wandering around Bainbridge, going out to Poulsbo. Location is cute, not large, but well appointed. Exterior lighting along the walkway could probably be improved but its a minor issue.

Very special stay
Little Farmhouse is quite delightful. Everything about the house and property is top notch. The location was convenient to both Winslow and Lynwood Center and the landlord was extremely helpful. It was the perfect place for my husband and I and our two young adult daughters to stay for a few days on our trip to the Pacific Northwest. When we were off exploring, we enjoyed family time by the gas fireplace or on the front porch. Would love to have the opportunity to return in the future.

Our new home away from home!
This little farmhouse is perfect for my wife and I. We hope to stay here again as we continue our discovery of this wonderful island as we contemplate a move to the PS area. Caroline has thought of every detail and anticipated every need as a professional and responsive host. The space itself is finished with high quality materials, has good natural light and a charming and romantic ambiance. We highly recommend Caroline and her Little Farmhouse.

A perfect weekend getaway
The Little Farmhouse was absolutely perfect and exactly what we needed to refuel from our busy lives. It’s amazing how far away from the city it seems, yet it’s just a short ferry ride from Seattle. The setting was bucolic and the house was immaculate. I’ve never stayed at a house that had such a well-stocked kitchen—we had everything we needed to prepare our meals. There are a ton of trails nearby, including a new trail just up the hill that Caroline told us about. We can’t wait to come back!

Bainbridge Farmhouse Gem
We loved every moment in this beautiful, clean, modern architectural farmhouse. Caroline the owner provided everything we needed and made our stay easy. The beds were comfy with down covers and the bath and kitchen were clean and new with all the amenities we needed to make ourselves so comfortable with a roaring fire and nice glass of wine. We could even hear the cows mooing across the street. The farmhouse was so close to the great shops and restaurants downtown. We spent all day strolling the streets. Day trips to Poulsbo and Port Gamble were a short drive north. I would definitely come back to this perfect spot on Bainbridge.

The Little Farmhouse is a lovely gem in the heart of Bainbridge Island
Our time at the Little Farmhouse was so special. We were treated to a clean, newly built and comfortably furnished home. The high ceilings, large windows and architectural details make this home so unique. We had everything we needed to make our girls weekend perfect, a lovely kitchen with all the amenities, warm fire, down comforters, heated floors and a beautiful private setting. Caroline, the owner made sure we had everything we needed. The house is easy to reach from the ferry and the wonderful shops, bakeries and restaurants are within minutes of the property. The farmhouse is a good starting point to explore Poulsbo and Port Gamble, only 20-30 minute drive. You can even hear the cows mooing from the farm across the road. I would definitely stay here again.

Elegant, comfortable, could be more private
The little farmhouse was very comfy and quite elegantly decorated. The mattresses were top of the line - almost hard to get out of bed in the morning. It was a dog-friendly cottage and we even had food bowls and poo bags awaiting our furry friends. Caroline really thought of everything. One of the most comfortable and well-thought-through places I've stayed. My one star deduction is for these two factors: 1) The property is very close to a road and there is no fence. We never felt comfortable letting the dogs off leash to explore the yard - even for a quick potty time. 2) It's not quite as private as it will be once the shubbery grows up between the houses. I'd say this time next year (by Spring 2018), privacy will be much improved. As it is, the front door and windows of the cabin face the main house (which is up the hill). The owner says she values privacy, and it was true that we barely caught a glimpse of their family the whole time. However, I was always aware that we were visible to the main house if they'd chosen to look. There are blinds you can pull for privacy, but that also limits your view completely. If you want a gorgeous, comfy interior and don't mind the cottage being located - essentially - in someone's front yard, this place is wonderful.

Great place
We had a wonderful time staying at the Little Farm while we were on Bainbridge Island for my cousins wedding. The location was east to get to, and we enjoyed getting eggs and banana bread at Winney Farm across the street. The beds were very comfy and we slept great. The kitchen is well stocked and we enjoyed cooking breakfast there. It was an exceptional place and would definitely stay there again!
