Rustic Log Home located near Baileys Harbor

Welcome to our authentic New England log home, built by our family in 1976. This charming home has many recent updates, including hard wood flooring, fully remodeled bathrooms, and an updated kitchen. Lounge on one of the two covered porches, perfect for enjoying a morning cup of coffee or evening glass of wine. Enjoy cooking outdoors in the picnic area. Relax in the spacious living room with a cathedral ceiling and stone fireplace. We are located 3 miles south of Baileys Harbor on a private 3 acre lot surrounded by woods. Enjoy a leisurely walk down the road to explore the lakeshore or watch the sunrise. Sit on the porch and watch the mystic hummingbirds as they enjoy their nectar. An abundance of wildlife can be viewed. In the backyard is a picnic area with a grill and picnic table for outdoor meals. In the evening you can stargaze by the fire pit in the backyard. It’s is only a short drive to Maxwelton Braes Golfcourse or the charming town of Baileys Harbor. Baileys Harbor offers many activities for nature enthusiasts, from the wildlife sanctuary to salmon fishing, kayaking, zip lining or just relaxing on one of two public beaches. The fall and winter months offer beautiful colors and breathtaking scenery. Cross country skiing and ice fishing are favorite excursions during the winter months. Ski trails are groomed in our state parks and ice fishing charters are available. Come and explore the quiet side of Northern Door County!

Door County weekend
We took a short weekend away with friends. The house was the perfect evening resting spot after touring all day. We enjoyed a peacefull fire at night and a nice morning walk to see the beautiful lake, only a .6 mi walk away.

Great Door County location
Only 4 minutes from Baileys Harbor, this location is perfect access to everything in the North Peninsula. We love the quieter vibe of Baileys, and the cabin home is quiet and lovely. Thanks to our hosts for an excellent experience!

wonderful cabin in the woods
we had a wonderful stay at this beautiful cabin in the woods for our annual mother/daughter weekend. We were given simple instructions for entering the home and it was even more cute and cozy than the pictures! We were also given great recommendations on things to do and places to go and eat. The location was awesome, close enough to all the towns, but just out enough to be private. We enjoyed evening walks down to the end of the road to the big lake :) we would stay here again!!

Outstanding property and service
We were very impressed with the cleanliness, updating, and maintenance of this roomy log home. It had everything we needed, and then some. The beds were super comfortable, the location was quiet and peaceful, yet central to everything in Door County. Our five days went by way too fast, and we can't say enough good things about the property or the host, who was attentive and responsive to our every question and need.

We had three couples stay here and had a fantastic time. Very comfortable with well equipped kitchen and easy drive to anywhere in door county. We were even able to bring our pups! Highly recommend.

Excellent Door County Getaway!
This rustic log home provided the ideal atmosphere for anyone wanting to enjoy a vacation in Door County, Wisconsin. My wife and I have stayed at many VRBO rentals and found our host for this log home location exceptional. We would highly recommend this VRBO rental for a visit to Door County any time of year!

We had the best time. The cabin feels relaxing as soon as you walk in. We had a bonfire every night and sat on the porch with our coffee every morning. It’s close enough to the highway to go do tourist things but feels secluded from the world for a quiet time

Thanksgiving getaway
We had a very fun and relaxing family Thanksgiving at the cabin. Everything was as advertised and Lisa was very accommodating. We took a nice walk down the road to the lake and enjoyed sitting by the fireplace on the cool evenings. We will definitely check availability before our next trip to Door County.

Family vacation
This rental was ideally located for our family vacation. Beautiful walk to Lake Michigan and short drives to our points of interest. The home was beautiful with all we enjoy including a fire pit that we enjoyed. The fireplace gave the room a cozy, comfortable glow. All in all this was a great rental.

Nice getaway!
Beautiful cabin on a dead end street. There was 7 of us taking by a family vacation to Door county and this place was absolutely perfect! There was plenty of room for all of us and the place was very clean! The fire pit in the back was a great place for us all to hang out in the evenings. The porches were also very nice to enjoy coffee in the morning! Would love to stay here again!

The property is a short drive out of Bailey’s Harbor. It has a well equipped kitchen. The beds were comfortable. Plenty of parking. Comfortable seating for 6 adults in the living room. Property has a grill and fire pit. Property owners were easy to work with.

We have been coming to Door County for years, and this stay was by far our best! The property far exceeded my expectations! It was clean, kitchen was well stocked, and just plain adorable!! Lisa went above and beyond to make our stay perfect. My kids are sports junkies, and there was plenty of yard for baseball, hockey and bike riding! I can’t wait to book here again!
