After a short time away we are reopening our doors to those looking for the perfect all year round Tuscan holiday rental.

Immerse yourself in the heart of Tuscany. with easy access to visit Florence, Pisa, Lucca and the sandy beaches of the Versilian coast. The farmhouse sits on the edge of the quaint medieval village of Guzzano, in the historic spa town of Bagni Di Lucca in Lucca.

Filled with Tuscan charm and traditional features, this independent farmhouse annex is set on 1 level. Surrounded by olive groves, and stunning Tuscan views. The new pool area has loungers and shady areas for you to enjoy. The 9m x 5m pool has a shower and seats within where you can relax under the Tuscan sun.

As you meet the rental you will have your own parking space right outside the property. The traditional Tuscan stable door lead you into the open plan living, dining kitchen with its chestnut windows and original features. The fully tiled bathroom has a bath and overhead shower. Its large double bedroom has far reaching views, its twin room has a Juliet balcony overlooking the private patio area. Outside a shady covered gazebo with table, chairs and BBQ makes it ideal for alfresco dining. The property also has an additional private patio area with hammock, sun loungers and outside seating, ideal for chilling with a book in hand and glass of wine. You can also try the stone pizza oven for a perfect pizza night under the stars.

With a home from home feel, complete with log burner, library of books, smart TV and games. All bed linens, towels are provided as well as laundry facilities.

Super Tuscan Rental Property

Il Fienile was clean of a very high standard inside and out. The eating areas & patios are lovely and the views are breathtaking. The villagers are really friendly & our children loved playing in the village piazza with the owners son & the other local children who it seems enjoy practising their English!. The property is rustic & semi detached with the farm annex dividing the property from the owners next door. The property is ideally placed for visitng Pisa, Florence & Lucca the beaches are a short drive away & stunning. We are already planning our return visit next year & hope to do the additional Tuscan tours they are now offering as part of our holiday. Thank you Antonio & Joanna we will definatley be seeing you again next year!

Gorgeous rental, amazing location!

This farmhouse rental is absolutely gorgeous, furnished and finished in excellent taste, it has a luxurious but still homely feel! Highlights include the comfortable beds, the amazing real fire, the private pool, and the handy breakfast and barbecue areas. Without doubt the best feature of the property for us was the stunning views all around, every morning the landscape looks beautiful in a new way, you will never get bored of these views! The other great feature was the location, in the two weeks that we were here we travelled easily to Pisa, Lucca, Florence, Barga and Viareggio, and enjoyed them all immensely! The villages of Bagni di Lucca itself are also charmingly picturesque, and offer great restaurants and bars! We enjoyed the pizzas of La Lira and the sea food at Da MaMos. We were here for two weeks in April and the weather was always warm, sometimes reaching the mid 20s on lovely sunny days! The hosts Jo and Tony are the nicest, friendliest guys that you could meet - We really cannot recommend this rental enough!

Great Tuscan holiday

We had a lovely time in this villa. The sun shone, the sky was blue, the views of the mountains from the property were breath taking and we even got to see shooting stars! The owners; Joanna and Antonia were so helpful, friendly, informative and relaxed - they really helped with suggestions of local places to visit and insider information such as where to park etc. It was great that they were on hand to answer any questions yet weren't at all intrusive - an ideal set up! They organised local horse riding for us through the woods and nearby villages as well as an appointment with a local physio (not related activities!) The villa was nicely furnished and had all the equipment that we needed. The pool was a welcome relief from the heat although our daughters would have liked it to have been bigger- however swimming in a local river proved popular with all of us. We would highly recommend this property if you want to stay somewhere that feels Tuscan and is in a beautiful,quiet location. You will definitely need to hire a car and not mind bends in the road - but it will all be worth it! Thank you to Joanna, Antonia and Massimiliano

Quiet place, but missing confort

Probably it's our fault: normally we book a modern house, this time we booked an older house with character. We missed a lot of confort: - dark inside the house - very small TV - to small bed with hard matras - no mosquito windows in our sleeping room: very hot to sleep - a lot of mosquitos, around and in the house - 3 different chairs of 4 on the terrace - only 3 dirty pillows on the sleeping chairs, 1 chair was broken - 1 small sun umbrella for 2 terraces - equipment in kitchen is very poor: I had to boil my spaghetti in 2 pots, ... - A lot of lamps were defect or missing - no hairdryer - BBQ is there, but is broken - no Wifi till wednesday (but Antonio did his best to fix it fast, thanks for this !) - Joanna did not come to say hello, only from distance - ... We're sorry, but we do not understand the other reviews.

Stunning location, lovely property

We spent two weeks in this villa, and couldn't have asked for anything more from Joanna and Antonia who were extremely welcoming and helpful. Location-wise this was just stunning - tucked away in the hills, a really quiet and remote feeling place (just what we were looking for!) but with Bagni Di Lucca and its lovely restaurants just 10 mins drive away. The villa itself was lovely - our favourite thing to do all holiday was to enjoy breakfast as a family on the patio with that amazing view! Really recommend, would visit again!

Very nice property, extremely clean, nice patios, views you'd die for, in a great location.

Bagni di Lucca and the entire region of Garfagnana is beautiful. We drove up to the mountains, experiencing some spectacular views, passing through some lovely villages. In Bagni di Lucca, there are some nice bars and restaurants, for those without a car, the train station is in Fornoli, a good 3km from Bagni di Lucca, the trains enable you go North, or to Lucca. Regarding our property, we had two issues, firstly in the 30 degree+ heat, we were only alerted to the fact that there were fans for us to use after texting the owner, as to where the washing machine was. It was in the cellar, which we had no access to, until I contacted the owner who obliged by providing us with a key to the cellar. It was in here where I came across the fans. My 9 year old son struggled to sleep on the first 2 nights before the fans became available. The only other grouse, or rather disappointment, was the size of the swimming pool. As I have a 13 year old and a 9 year old, all of us are keen swimmers, the pool is an important part of our holiday. There is no indication as to the size of the pool on the website, and it is unclear on the photograph. The pool is tiny and inadequate other than for a short cool down at the end of a hot day. Fortunately Bagni di Lucca has a fantastic outdoor pool facility in the centre of town, and for 20 euros a day, the 3 of us could spend 5-6 hours each day in a large pool, diving area, decent cafe, sunbeds etc. The sunloungers by the farmhouse pool are not in sight of the actual pool, which for those with very young children would be a concern. Take the pool away though, and for occasional swimmers this is a beautiful property which the owners have obviously put a lot of work into over the years, the windy road up from town is a challenge but takes only 7 minutes and the BBQ area and patio are perfect for families, and the views are breathtaking.

Charming property, away from it all, beautiful views

We spent 6 days at this property, it is lovely. The views were amazing, the property is well maintained, although certain things - front door opening, wasps around swimming pool were annoying. The swimming pool is basic, as the owners were not there the pizza oven wasn't offered. The nearest supermarket is back down the mountain (10/15 mins drive) to Bagni Di Lucca, which wasn't a problem. Two local restaurants that were recommended were both excellent. If you want to a peaceful holiday out of the way this place is brilliant. Thank you

Perfect Property for lazy days in the sun.

We had a beautiful holiday in the Villa and were lucky enough to have the use of the owners terrace which was a delight, the butterfly'd and bee's on the Lavender were fantastic to watch as were the Firefly's at night. the Villa has Sun from early morning to late at night and the views were great as well, very quiet area and the Village had everything that you could need. Only thing that we would say is the Villa at night is quite hot and a fan or two would have been great in the bedrooms at nigh time. But we would definitely stay here again.

What a heavenly place!!

I had the delightful opportunity to stay at this spectacular place this summer. I fell in love with the property, the view and the owners, Joanna and Antonio. I didn't want to leave. It really was heavenly. The house is beautiful and nicely updated and clean with everything you need to make it your home while you're there. I eagerly awakened in the morning to see the spectacular scenery and hear the joyful cacophony of birds. The property and view are highlights. It's hard to describe the sense of peace I felt when I was there. I've traveled many places and this became my heart home in large part because of my stay at this gorgeous home. I am returning this spring and can't wait. Joanna and Antonio are two of the most gracious, warm and caring people I know. They made my stay so comfortable and wonderful. I have invited two of my brothers and their wives to join me to enjoy this slice of heaven. I know they will fall in love with this lovely home, spectacular view and fabulous hosts, as I have. I highly recommend it.

A lovely place in a stunning village

La stalla di guzzano was the best place we could have found for our holidays in Tuscany. The accommodation was really confortable, it had all we needed and the owners Joanna and Antonio went out of their way to make our stay just perfect. A wonderful Tuscan getaway!

We absolutely loved this house, the location and the amazing views. The sunsets from the terrace together with the Fattoria die Fubbiano red wine were unfogettable. The house is beautifully furnished and the WLAN connection was excellent. Although we did not have the opportunity to meet Joanna personally, she provided us with some great tips for local restaurants and sights. The town of Bagni die Lucca is only a few kilometers away and has a real unspoilt charm which we truly enjoyed. Don't miss the EURO 11 unbeatable lunch specials at Circolo dei Forestieri in Bagni di Lucca which include a starter, main with sides, delicious bread, a bottle of water per person an a 1/4 liter of wine. We look forward to returning again some day soon.

Amazing

I did not stay in the holiday home but went for a BBQ meal here last year in July and it was amazing, Lovely relaxed atmosphere and amazing hosts The view from where we was eating was breath taking. They was no shortage of food and wine, And as it got dark got to see the wonderful fire fly's which was like something from a film. We just looking at prices to stay and hope to go and stay in the guest room next :) The surrounding area was lovely. And one of the best holidays ever. Very much recommend going to Lucca I enjoyed it more than the pizza

A gem in the Tuscany hills

We arrived after a 2day drive from the UK and were immediately struck by the location and views from the property. After an excellent night's sleep in the very comfy bed we woke and opened the shutters in the bedroom to spectacular views of the hills surrounding the property made even better by the gorgeous blue sky and sun. The property is very comfortable and has all that you need. Close to Bagni di Lucca which is a lovely town made up of small villages with excellent cafés and a cake shop! Lucca is only a 30 to 40 min drive away and is an impressive walled city. Good base for exploring Pisa, Florence and Siena. Also close to the coast if you want some beach action. Some of the smaller towns like Barga are also well worth a look, and you're on the footsteps of the Strada del Vino, a route linking the vineyards of Lucca to Monte Carlo. Jo and Antonio could not have been more welcoming, friendly and always happy to help when we quizzed them about options on what to do and where to go. They were also a godsend when medical attention was required (nothing serious, just clumsy!!), and always have their guests front of mind. In all, great property in a stunning location, looked after by a fantastic couple!!

Beautiful holiday home in a stunning area

Pristine holiday home, perfectly proportioned and beautifully decorated. The house has fantastc views and the little pool was great for the kids. The village of Bagni di Lucca was a 10 minute drive or 50 minute walk away and it was very beautiful with great amenities. The house is 30 minutes from Lucca, which is beautiful and an hour from Pisa/Viareggio and 1.5 hours from Florence all of which were spectacular. Joanna and family were very friendly but gave us maximum privacy and the free wine was lovely, would certainly go again.

Very special spot!

Il Fienile was gorgeous - very cosy, comfortable and modern, and in a wonderful location, just above the town, surrounded by olive trees and great panoramic views of the hills. A very special spot, ideal for our spring getaway. Highly recommended to anybody!

Charming house, sublime location

I can't praise 'Il Finile' highly enough after our autumn break there. The house is everything you could want in a holiday let - a real home-from-home, welcoming and well-equipped, with comfy sofas, lovely wood-burning stove and efficient heating. Returning in the dark after a day exploring the many local attractions truly felt like coming home as we lit the fire and relaxed with glasses of fantastic local wine. Joanna and Antonio were friendly and helpful without being intrusive, and always ready to assist. The location is unbeatable - as others have said, the views on all sides are sublime, and the hamlet of Guzzano extraordinarily picturesque. There's so much to see and do - VIlla Reale at Marlia was my favourite - and we could have filled two weeks rather than one without any effort at all. All in all, it was a perfect antidote to dreary Scotland in October :-). Hope to return again and repeat a fantastic experience.

Slice of Paradise

When I first arrived in the area of Bagni di Lucca, I couldn't help but focus on the stunning landscape surrounding the house. My next thought was how peaceful it was in this part of Tuscany. Of the few weeks spent on holiday in the house, many of the days were used by the pool laying out in the sun, enjoying the beautiful views of the mountains, and the peacefulness of the area. The location of Bagni di Lucca is fantastic with easy trips to the nearby lovely towns of Lucca, Florence, Pisa, and even Siena, Portonevere, and the Cinque Terre. The trains are easy to use and make traveling fun and convenient. When you're here, you can tell Johanna and Antonio take pride in having people stay at their place. I would gladly recommend staying in this area of Tuscany. Thanks Jo and Tony for a wonderful holiday I won't forget!

Ah, Tuscany :)

Had a wonderful stay in this beautiful villa. The views are second to none and the atmosphere in this rural, but accessible part of Tuscany, is worth a trip all on its own. Beautiful people, beautiful country. I will definitely be going back.

True Tuscany

Fantastic! The apartment was perfect. Really luxurious,nicely furnished, sparkling clean and with sunning views as well. The area of Bagni di Lucca is beautiful countryside in a historical setting and there is so much to do including lovely walks, visiting the thermal spas, shopping in the local markets and exploring the castles and fortresses. The cities of Lucca, Pisa and Florence are also really nearby and well worth a day visit. The owners could not have been more helpful, stocking our wine rack, suggesting tours and activies and even including us on the farm. The children loved picking the local kaki frui off the trees and feeding the geese and chicken. We would really recommend this holiday rental all year round, and are definitely booking to come back next Winter!!

Fantastic Tuscan Autumn Holiday

We arrived at the farmhouse and was struck by the sheer beauty of the area. The property was spotless and had everything and more you would expect from a holiday rental. The fixtures, fittings and the furnishings are of a high standard giving it a real home from home feel. The owners were lovely really friendly and helpful. We decided to come out of season as we have never seen Tuscany in Autumn. We have to say that it was perfect cool enough to enjoy the surrounding area walking, horse riding and the cities of Lucca and Florence. We enjoyed eating in the nearby restaurants and street cafes in Bagni di Lucca. It was a really relaxing break and we would recommend this property to anyone. We have already booked a week next year with them and cant wait for our return visit.

Magnificent farmhouse in beautiful countryside!!

The apartment was a beautifully restored farmhouse set within the wonderful rural countryside of tuscany. We woke up to spectacular views overlooking olive groves and vineyards with a magnificent mountainous background!! The house is in a very quaint tiny mountain village with a real community spirit, where your italian neighbours will say ciao and the children play happily in the fields. The apartment is self contained and has everything needed to ensure a very comfortable stay, including a very well kept outside garden and swimming pool area. The nearest shops are a short drive away and it is close to Florence, Lucca, Pisa and the beach for day trips. We had the most wonderful time staying here and would love to come back at some point. Would definitely recommend it to others wanting a real italian experience!!!

Excellent Tuscan Holiday

Brilliant location for a holiday, located in some wonderful Tuscan countryside. Joanna,  Antonio and Massimiliano are excellent hosts who can provide you with a wealth of information on things to see and do locally. We found it ideal for a young family and had a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. The property is well equipped - Joanna & Antonio have thought of everything you could need for your holiday. If you're looking for a rural retreat that will immerse you in the local Italian way of life but still close to the beaches and must see sights in Tuscany then this is the place for you!  A definite return or us, Thank you

WONDERFUL TUSCAN HOLIDAY

Not really knowing what to espect on this holiday, it was a first for us to do anything other than stay near a beach or snow. I have to say we were both very pleasantly surprised at how lovely it actually was. The farm house is charming it had every thing one would need to self cater. There was always hot water at the touch of a tap. The views nothing more than gobsmacking. It was a real thrill to throw the windows open in the mornings and see such great scenery. The sun deck was great for peace and quiet and complete escapism. The area was also interesting with some facinatating places to visit. Jo,Antonio and Massimiliano were really great host's always more than helpful and had a real good knowledge of everything about the area. By the time we left they felt more like friends. We would definetly recommend this to anyone and really look forward to returning at a later date.
