Come enjoy all of the beauty Wisconsin nature has to give. This cozy cottage backs the Wyalusing State Park and sits just steps away from the Mississippi and Wisconsin River. Enjoy hiking or a picnic in the park or a nice day of boating and fishing, This property has access to it all. This fully furnished home is stocked with everything you need to have a cozy stay. The master bedroom boasts a king bed, fireplace and a large TV. Upstairs is separated by a small wall allowing more privacy to the 2 full size beds available. The property has starlink wifi for a strong connection. Home has a bar for adult enjoyment and entertainment. This is a cozy space you would regret not staying at. Book today! Please remember this property is in the middle of a park on 1/2 acre of land on the river .. You will see bugs as we wont ever have enough bug spray to make them disappear. It was a very nicely decorated home with lots of items available for use. It was pleasant overall except for the heat. It was very cold in the home and the bedroom was VERY cold. The fireplace and blankets helped but it was still cold. A manual explaining how the TV works and where stuff is would be helpful.

Very peaceful weekend. We thought the cottage was well equipped and fixed up cute. Only issue was the amount of Asian beetles inside. We had to continually vacuum them up. Could be a bit unsettling at times.

This home is located in a wonderful location. Just steps away from the Mississippi and right near Wyalusing state park. The home had a ton of character. Very uniquely decorated we especially loved the outdoor.. They also had lots of extras, anything you might need on your trip they had it there available.

Lovely but a challenge for older people
The house was delightful and the area very beautiful (even with the trains). Our biggest difficulty was that the entrance to the house was treacherous, with uneven surfaces, and the three steps down to the main bedroom had no railing or grab bar. This was very hard for older people like ourselves. The upstairs had a low ceiling and would be suitable only for kids or short adults. A few things were broken and we made temporary fixes, such as the toilet seat and the shower bar and nozzle.

I’m so glad I found this gem for my family even for the one night we had. Wish we would have had more nights together there. Gorgeous little cottage inside and out! Warm up stairs where 2 full beds are but other than that, it was perfect! Right across from the Mississippi River my morning was beautiful drinking my cup of coffee looking across to the river. Very clean, neat and just perfect! I highly recommend if you’re in the area, staying here!

Property is beautiful and the view of the river is stunning. Host has gone above and beyond to stock the place with little things that make your stay more enjoyable. Toiletries, games, and plenty of dishes. 10/10 will definitely try to stay here again when in the area. We rode our motorcycles and the ride to and from the property is great.

Quiet and peaceful
My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our two-night stay here. The location is wonderfully quiet. (Occasionally there's a train across the road, but they're not frequent.) From the yard or picture window you can see terrific sunsets over the river as the property is facing west. The cottage was very comfortable and had a well-equipped kitchen and a nice sized dining area. The master bedroom just down from the kitchen is wonderful, and the outdoor gathering spaces (three small gathering spaces, one with fire pit) are perfect for a family. What makes this location especially nice is that it's a short drive in to Prairie du Chien if you need anything, but you get to stay in the quiet outside of town.

I was kind of nervous about booking a place with little to no reviews. Pulling up to the house you’re not expecting much as the outside and yard it a little run down. The inside was clean and updated. Location was super convenient for checking out the state park and there’s a nice beach right down the street. Only other downside is the trains right across the street. Everything you need for a weekend of exploring. Kids had a great time. I would recommend this place to anyone.
