My wife was looking for a nativity and he put us in contact with shopkeepers who might be able to help. The building itself had lots of character and history. Breakfast was excellent. "The hotel has a mix of apartments and regular rooms which are small but very well organized and up to date. Our bed was a comfortable king in a standard room which had a cathedral ceiling with a fan, no AC which was needed on day 1 our stay but not day2 ( early September). An extra fan was provided. Windows provided a lovely breeze.Location on the main square proved to be very quiet. An excellent restaurant - MUMM is around the corner. The hotel has a cafe that serves lunch and dinner. Breakfast is not extensive but tasty. We recommend this hotel."

"Very nice hotel with old world charm, nice view of the water, and accommodating staff. They served breakfast starting at 7am instead of 8 just to accommodate us since we mentioned we had to take the ferry at 8:30 from Ærøskøbing. And the breakfast was amazing! "
