"The setup is very good; the surrounding area, beaches, and Hermit's Castle are why we booked here for two nights. Unfortunately, the builders opposite decided to start work with a digger and heavy roller before 8 a.m., so our stay wasn't exactly peaceful. This was not the owner's fault, I should add. The pod was large and comfortable, but it really needs Starlink, as we couldn't use the internet on our phones. Some might find this acceptable, but others might not. Not being able to watch TV was disappointing for the price we paid. Both nights were the same. Don't let that put you off; I'm sure the groundworks are now finished, and some people don't mind not having TVs. We walked for miles, drove to other beaches, and enjoyed the area, and we recommend it to everyone. It won't put us off visiting their other site of pods on the east side of the NC500 next year"

"We were there for a 2 night stay at the end of August. The hotel is very well taken care of & it is in a quiet lovely location. It’s beautiful inside too. Rooms are cozy, clean , quiet, & decorated very nicely. The food & service in dining room is amazing! The free breakfast is plentiful, delicious, & fresh. It is a nice touch. "

"The good - a wonderful property in a wonderful location with great views and most amenities you could need - as long as you don't believe the listing. Egyptian cotton; dont think so. Recliner? Long gone. Welcome basket? Dont hold your breath. Plenty of supplies befitting a luxury place? Not if you count 1 1/2 rolls of toilet paper, a half roll of paper towels, no replacement garbage bags and no laundry detergent for a week's stay as ample. Apparently the owner has sold and fled to Spain and the new owner has not yet arrived and it shows. Despite these disappointments it really is a lovely cottage with more modern conveniences and appointments than most and we would gladly stay again...especially after the new owner assumes command."
