"We booked our room for the huge balcony. It turned out to be huge but was covered in snow and ice. That was disappointing. Electrics in the building were also poor, you had to choose the plugs you wanted to use. The building itself is all it promises and makes your stay interesting and that was why we tried it. Still balcony especially was disappointing. This may seemmlike a bargain but I am not 100% sure on that. The building is exceptional, there us no denying that."

"Beautiful surroundings, hotel a little creaky. Food a little pricey but hotel was in a good location with parking. Lots of nearby restaurants on foot. The hotel is also fairly close to the ski lifts too, plus the outer balconies overlook the bottom section of the waterfall. If you walk around to the left side of the hotel on the main road you can reach the upper mid-section of the waterfall without needing further transportation. "Good: Location great near a few bars restaurants and waterfall. Easy access to ski lifts and bus, train for journeys. First class bakery opposite. Spa and pool great. Library very attractive and comfortable. Common kitchen useful from time to time. Breakast good. Not so good but ok: If kitchen users could please dry and put crockery and pots away rather than stack and leave. Bedding not changed for a week. Special: Superb staff. Especially Julia. "We chose this hotel for the second time. Half-board was good. We enjoyed the swimming pool. Room was ok, the equipment a bit older, but the view was amazing. Parking in a parking house next to the hotel - higher cars as ours have to use the upper entrance which is about 5 minutes drive (no signs, receptionist told us where to go). "
