☆ All bookings are set up as a 6-night stay with check-in on Sundays and check-out on Saturdays. If you would like to book for two weeks back-to-back please message and we will adjust accordingly. ☆

The Shooting Star Lodge is a warm, comfortable home well suited to enjoy the views of GNP for all four seasons. Our family is from the area and we have loved going fishing on Duck Lake, hiking in beautiful Glacier National Park, and visiting Waterton Lakes National Park. There is nothing quite like the feeling of relaxation that you get while taking in the stunning mountain views from the property's wrap around deck. You can even enjoy the views from the outdoor shower/tub! We are just minutes from the east side GNP entrances, Many Glacier, and St. Mary's.

The Shooting Star Lodge has all of the following amenities:
☆Upstairs☆
-Two private bedrooms with queen beds
-Full bathroom
-Modern gas fireplace (thermostat controlled)
-Open floor plan living room with amazing mountain views
-Fully stocked kitchen

☆Downstairs☆
-Modern gas fireplace (thermostat controlled)
-Two full beds
-Full bath with oversized shower
-Sauna/Steam room
-Washer and dryer

☆Additional amenities☆
-High Speed WiFi (Starlink)
-Smart TV
-Charging stations throughout
-Fishing pole and tackle (fishing license required, contact us for details)

Other things to note:
☆There are several restaurants in the area.
The Leaning Tree Cafe- 6 minutes
Glacier's Edge Cafe- 10 minutes away
Two Sisters Cafe- 10 minutes away
Cattle Baron steak House- 10 minutes away
Swiftcurrent Motor Inn- 36 minutes away

☆ Cell service is extremely limited. There is a cell phone booster at the house, but it can only do so much. Verizon is typically the only provider that works in the area, and that can be spotty too.

A wonderful place to stay!
A beautiful home with stunning views all around. Very well equipped and comfortable. Conveniently close to the park but still out of the way and quiet. Provided everything we needed (and then some) to make our stay extremely enjoyable. Thank you Cheryl and Lew!

great spot for hiking Many Glacier area
This cabin is in a great location for exploring the east side of Glacier National Park, especially the Many Glacier area. The views are really beautiful from the porch. The kitchen has all you could need. Plenty of space for all 8 of us. Lew and Cheryl were incredibly friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay here and would love to return one day.

The cabin was wonderful. Million dollar mountain views. Super clean. Great kitchen. Right next to Glacier National Park. The sauna was amazing (it's fits three no problem). I would stay here again for sure. Lew and Cheryl were wonderful.

Great Home, Great Views, Great Access to East Glacier
Our family loved this home. We loved the open floor plan of the kitchen, dining and family room area. We loved the deck and its views and we appreciated that this home had a spot for everything - hooks everywhere to hang your coat, your hat or your Camelback. There is easy access to both the St. Mary's Entrance to Glacier National Park and the Many Glacier Entrance and we spent a great deal of time at each. Our thanks to Lew and Cheryl for a trip we'll never forget.

Beautiful house, excellent views. Exceeded expectations.
With the kids turning into young adults, this Montana trip may have been one of our last family adventures. Duck Lake Cabin was the perfect setting. It accommodated all of us comfortably. Spacious, clean & warmly decorated. The stunning views from the wrap-around deck made the morning coffee and evening nightcap an outstanding bookend to each day. I would definitely re-book this place when I return to Glacier. Thank you Cheryl & Lew.

Amazing !
The cabin was perfect. The location is between St. Mary & Many glacier making it an easy drive for going in at either entrance. Kristin & Zach thought of everything! It was well organized, homey and even included a thoughtful breakfast & coffee grounds from local vendors. I have traveled a lot and this is by far the best accommodations I have had! The views from the Cabin were better than the pictures. Kristin was extremely welcoming and quick to respond with any questions. 5 stars isn't enough for this place!

This property is everything and more as stated by owner. Minutes to Many Glacier or St. Mary. What a bonus with Duck Lake. Kristin and Zach offer up everything for enjoying home after a long day in park including fishing and sporting on the lake. Every attention to detail was so appreciated. Thanks. Hope see you again. Perfect Cabin for your Glacier Park Stay!
We had a great stay here! The cabin is wonderful: very peaceful, clean, cozy, spacious with plenty of room for the six of us (2 parents and 4 adult kids). The well stocked kitchen was terrific - we packed our lunches every day and enjoyed family dinners each night after returning from long hiking days. There is an amazing view of the mountains behind the house; we saw some spectacular sunsets from the porch (and enjoyed seeing the local cows and horses roaming past the house!). It's a really easy drive into Many Glacier and St Mary's. We got the best of both worlds - nice private location, but grocery and convenience stores within a few minutes drive. We had a fantastic stay and would recommend Lew and Cheryl's cabin to anyone looking to explore the park or relax!

Gateway to Many Glacier
Our goal was to hit the trails at Many Glacier without driving 2 hours from the west side of the park, but wanted a place that was fun and comfortable. I can't imagine a better choice. The 'cabin' was very comfortable, nice beds, well appointed, and Lew and Cheryl keep it stocked with the little stuff you tend to forget like salt and coffee filters. Spectacular views were a delight after a hard day hiking in the park, and we were only 25 minutes from the Swift Current Motel trailheads. Can't beat it.

Wow! We are homesick for this cabin already! The view is amazing, it is perfect!
This cabin felt like home from the beginning. The open family area with great views from every window, the separate private bedrooms and bathrooms, and the well equipped kitchen were just what these two couples needed. We cooked all of our meals and hiked in nearby Many Glacier and St. Mary everyday. The drive to both park entrances is easy, and wifi is available at the St. Mary visitors center if you need a "fix"! Try Two Sisters for a great meal in a unique setting if you want to eat out. Otherwise, this side of the park is very secluded, but all the best hikes and views are here compared to the west side near Kalispell.

Great house for views of Glacier NP and hiking it
Stayed for 7 days in mid September with wife, her sister and husband. Perfect house for 2 or even 3 couples. Well stocked kitchen and nice bathrooms. No cable, but many dvds and vhs tapes to choose from, but who needs TV after hiking GNP. Great pamarama of east side of park from house, amazing. Perfect location for hiking east side of park. Best hikes are 20-25 mins from house. We did Grinnell Glacier, Iceberg Lake, Bullhead Lake. Logan Pass is less than a hour away for Highline hike and Hidden lake. Highly recommend! Just keep the gate shut to keep the cows and horses out.

Wonderful house at a wonderful location!
We could not have asked for a better place to enjoy our Montana vacation. The house was very comfortable with a great floorplan for the 5 of us (grandparents on main level, with daughter and son-in-law and 6 year old grandson on lower level). I loved sitting on the back deck enjoying the amazing view and the equally amazing quiet. One night I went outside in the early morning to see the Milky Way and was treated to two shooting stars. The house was stocked with everything we needed and was spotlessly clean. Our objective was hiking at Glacier National Park. The location of the house gave us easy access to the St Mary area and Many Glacier. We would definitely stay at this house again! (I wish that I could stay there for at least a month.)

Best Location to Visit Glacier National Park
We had a wonderful stay at this home. It worked out perfectly for our family of 5, which included 3 teenagers, and my parents. The space was comfortable for the 7 of us. The view was amazing! It was the favorite part of our stay. The cabin was decorated quite nicely and was very clean. We did a lot of cooking in the cabin. For the most part, we were able to find everything we needed in the kitchen and when we didn't we improvised! Ha! This was our first time in GNP and we found the location perfect. The owners, Lew and Cheryl, are very nice people and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. I would highly recommend their home and would stay here again.

A Great Place To Stay
We had an awesome time at this cabin! I cannot say enough good things about the owners. Not only were they extremely welcoming and helpful (staying to welcome us to the home at 11:00 at night when we arrived) but they went above and beyond in finding us a pack and play for our son and retrieving my dad's dialysis supplies when they were delivered before our arrival! They treated us like family. The accommodations were very comfortable, the kitchen was fully stocked with NICE utensils and cookware (not cheap rental quality) and the views were AMAZING. The house was very accessible to the Many Glacier area of the park which was definitely the best for wildlife and hiking. We saw moose, grizzly bears and black bears almost every day we hiked at Many Galcier. The only drawback was our lack of cell phone signal with AT&T which, in the end, made for a better vacation after all. Thanks for a great vacation!

Beautiful views, Wonderful Log Home close to everything!
This was the best house we could have chosen for our Glacier vacation. The cabin is beautiful. Cheryl and Lew are wonderful, they are easy to deal with and they think of everything. You feel like you are home as soon as you open the door. The kitchen is fully stocked and lay out of the house is welcoming. The open air floor plan is so inviting, you just want to hang out around the house. Coffee on the porch in the early morning before a hike was breathtaking as the sun came up and reflected on the mountains. This home is in the center of all the local areas: Babb, Many Glacier and St. Mary's. You can look off the porch and see the valleys where each reside. This was a wonderful place to relax and enjoy the scenery after you were hiking in the park all day. We loved Glacier it was so beautiful. We would stay here again, we absolutely loved it.

Best Glacier Stay Ever!!
Glacier National Park is amazing! My husband and I began our pilgrimages west nearly 20 years ago and we have enjoyed some fabulous trips. We rented in East Glacier and Polebridge. We stayed in lodges at Lake McDonald, Many Glacier and even a motor lodge along the way that will remain anonymous but kitchy-charming. After our 2014 stay and 25 mile one way drive to the park, we found ourselves noticing the Duck Lake sign just outside the park entrance. "Next year we are going to be at Duck Lake!" There was no better place to land than Lew and Cheryl's cabin! The 240 degree view includes the marquis mountains of the east side and simply cannot be beat. Cheryl was on hand to provide guidance and suggestions for the week and answer any questions we may have had. Our four adults (including 2 locals) and four kids found the 3 BRs perfect for our group. While I'm not ready for the secret of GNP to be completely revealed, this is the most precious hidden gem we have found yet! We will be back next year!!

Perfect stay at Shooting Star Lodge
Our family of 6 adults and 2 children (10 & 12) really enjoyed our stay! Home is spacious and very clean!! Appreciated the thoughtful touches like shampoo, conditioner and body wash in each shower, extra toiletries, fun local cinnamon roll breakfast, games, fans for each room, light blocking curtains, and well stock utensils/pans/etc in the kitchen. The view from the back deck is amazing all times of the day. And the community is very quite. Is perfect location for quick access to both Many Glacier and St. Mary's. We didn't have time to use them, but was nice to have paddle board and kayak in the basement. Having the outdoor shower was great so one other person could clean up at the same time. And Lindsay is very responsive! Wifi, as Lindsay will tell you, can be slow at best. We didn't bother with it most of the time. Was nice to take a break from being constantly plugged in!! Would definitely stay again, for two weeks next time!! Thank you Lindsay and Zack for sharing your home with our family!!

Wonderful cabin in a small lake community!
Great cabin, great owners and a really wonderful view from almost every point in the house. Lew and Cheryl were wonderful folks (thanks for the comb honey, Cheryl!) and very responsive. The kitchen was a dream and had everything a cook could need, the sleeping areas were nice (it has four queen size beds!) and the open living area was just what we wanted for our group vacation. The cabin amenities were just as stated (although we discovered you couldn't wash clothes and take a shower immediately afterwards! LOL) and the location on the east side of the park was just right for our plans. We didn't ever see the lake except as we were driving down the road to the cabin, but it is obviously THE place to go for fishing in that part of the world based on what we saw and read about Duck Lake. We didn't want to leave, but alas our vacation came to a pleasant end so we waived goodbye to Rob (the local canine welcoming committee), closed the gate (lots of horses and cattle roam free in Montana) and took just a few more pictures of the lovely views as we drove off. I'm not sure we will ever be back to Montana or the GNP, but if we do I would certainly try to reserve this cabin again!!
