"Quirky, quiet place to stay between the river and the canal. Lovely, comfy room and quiet. The restaurant is open Weds onwards. There is a Toby Carvery a few minutes down the road but not dog friendly. Gloucester centre about 10 mins drive away. Good stop on the way to Wales."

"Had an overnight stay here recently and enjoyed it. Plenty of towels, couple of bottles of water in the fridge, good tea/coffee facilities. Shower was very good. Light sleepers may be affected by cars leaving the venue via the gravel car park and the in-room fridge switching on during the night. Staff were friendly and helpful. Good selection of beers to choose from and an option to have dinner there. Separate entrance/exit from the pub entrances, very useful indeed. I would stay here...

"I only had a quick visit to Berwick Lodge, late arrival and early departure , but it was a very comfortable stay with a lovely breakfast in the morning. A little pricey compared to others but still nice regardless. Will happily return "

"This was truly an “Pub with and Inn” experience. The Cat in the Custard is the hub of this small Cotswold village, so we felt like travelers in time. Our room was in the eaves and very tiny so we moved to a larger one - both were lovely. The food is very good, and the breakfast hot and plentiful. "

"The staff were very helpful. The food was excellent. Especially the Lamb Shank. The bed was comfy and the room was clean. I booked this Inn as it was close to lots of beautiful walks. I have no complaints. And would stay here again. "

"A nice stay when in the area. The food is good, as are the team. I did hear some locals moaning about both, however that isn't my experience at all. The rooms are good, I had a different room this time and it's probably due for some tlc, however it was serviceable and the bed was comfy etc. The Bowl has a nice feel in a lovely location - it was a stunning evening to sit outside and dine whilst reading a book - with the bell ringing practise starting in the evening.
