Great stay, great place, great hosts
When we arrived, we thought we'd come to the wrong place as the cottage is much bigger than it looks from the outside and high spec inside. It was early Feb and it was super cosy and warm. The fire was prepared and ready to just throw a match in. The owners were super friendly, and the location was great. We stayed for three nights but could have easily have stayed for longer.

Brimble Cottage
Adequately equipped cottage, we had a couple of minor problems which were quickly dealt with by Kathy. Although in our bedroom it was not too noticeable our son and partner did have problems with the cockerel each morning.

A great cottage in a lovely location and we went in December(!) - it would be fantastic in summer with its lovely garden to sit in. Couldn't fault the cleanliness, comfort or facilities. Lots of wildlife. We'll be booking again next year - if we can get in! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Brimble cottage was a lovely place to stay and escape for a weekend. It was decorated for Christmas which made a nice touch and helped it to feel even more cosy. Underfloor heating and the log burner meant it was always warm and the kitchen had everything you need to cater for yourself. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Brimble is delightful.
Brimble is delightful. Well designed, spacious, warm, comfortable, well equipped and appointed. Secluded, on a hillside, with a user-friendly garden. Access is down a steep, narrow track, but parking is easy when you arrive. Added bonus was an owl serenade at night. Friendly but non-intrusive owners are on hand if any help is needed. Easy drive to the coast, and lovely sunsets from the hill. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

We had a wonderful stay in Brimble Cottage, it is in a peaceful setting and a perfect location to explore the area. The cottage was very clean and comfortable, a real 'home from home' and great consideration had been given to supplying everything you could need and extra cleaning products during these times. The garden was really pretty and it was nice that we could exercise our dog around the cottage area first thing in the morning. We would definitely recommend Brimble Cottage and would think about staying there again in the future, we have only marked it down by one point on the equipment category as there was no dishwasher but we were aware of this before we booked the cottage, other than that, for us, the cottage was near perfection!! Thank you to the owners for everything and for letting us enjoy a stay in Brimble Cottage. Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

great location beautiful countryside easy access to great walks. Cottage and gardens are lovely. Owners very friendly. Great to have chickens in the garden - would have been nice to be able to buy the eggs. Toilet is a little tricky getting in and out door very close to toilet. Kitchen knives completely blunt cant cut butter with them had to go an buy one - have left it there for the next guests! Review independently collected and verified by Reevoo

Lovely cottage, lovely family.
Lovely cottage, lovely family. It was just what my family needed to reset and recharge. The ducks were a big hit with my son. The host went above and beyond to make sure our stay was wonderful. A fault with the washing machine was quickly resolved. I can't say enough what a great place this is. We will definitely be back again. X

Lovely cottage in beautiful surroundings, be careful though as it’s a steep track up-to the main road. We were able to arrive early as unfortunately we had really bad weather all weekend, so it was very lovely of the owner to offer us early admission and provide a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk and biscuits. The cottage was delightful, clean, tidy and had everything we needed for our stay. Lyme Regis was a very short drive away and the cottage provided easy access to other well known locations. Would definitely stay here again and recommend if you are looking for somewhere slightly off the beaten track. Even the neighbours horses ( in a field down the road/track!) were friendly!

Lovely little cottage with everything we needed.
Lovely little cottage with everything we needed. The only negative points I would make are that the off road track it is down is very uneven and the garden is not enclosed so we had to keep an eye on our dog when we let her out. Other than that we had a lovely stay and the owner was very friendly and left milk in the fridge which is always a godsend

Excellent choice for our short break in Dorset.
Excellent choice for our short break in Dorset. The Cottage was exactly as described - even down to the farm track leading to it. The place was immaculately clean and had everything supplied - down to a tea/coffee, milk etc makings for when we arrived. We only briefly met the owners but they were welcoming. Ideal base to explore the Jurassic coast and surrounding area. We would definitely look to going again!

A truly idyllic little cottage set in beautiful surroundings very well equipped and clean and tidy! Our only gripe was the cockerel that woke us anytime between 4.30am 6.00am not ideal when your in holiday and with it being so hot the windows had to be open so no chance of blocking the noise out!

Excellent located cottage, offering a great rural retreat, run by a very friendly family, professional, polite, with great local knowledge to help you enjoy your stay. The cottage is only five to ten miles for towns and beaches with easy safe access to all destinations. The cottage has all your modern requirements, designed in a traditional rural style, well built and designed by the family. The cottage is very spacious both inside and outside. The cottage is designed for all your holiday expectations and to enjoy rural walks, watch the deer walk along the top of the drive, see the sky at night with shooting stars with not light pollution, visit Lyme Regis only 15 minutes drive, take a swim at the many beaches to choose from, enjoy all the beautiful villages that Devon and Dorset offer. A big thank you...........

Nice cottage but we were not aware that there is a cockerel right outside the cottage! It meant that we didn't get much sleep as woken early! Also we are aware that it's a dog friendly cottage and there are two lovely dogs there, but they were outside barking sometimes late at night & early hours of the morning which again affected our sleep. Just something to be aware of. The cottage was really homely and we visited lots of places relatively close by.

Fab Christmas break
Excellent Christmas stay! Thanks to the owners for putting a real tree in the property for us and making us feel very welcome. Well equipped and nice size property in a very quiet location but really close to Lyme Regis. Some mountain biking and nice walks to be had at the nature reserve across the road which was a bonus. An all round lovely stay.
