Patricia and Roger were kind and caring hosts. We stayed one night in this beautiful place. Great views of the lake, firm matress, loads of room, amazing hot breakfast and good pub down the road. We would have stayed here or while trip if we could.
We are travelling from city to city. We stay in what we call a "tent room". This was "more than a tent"!!! The B&B was EXCELLENT!!! We were only there for one night, it has good showers and beds. We arrived late due to construction on the Wolvershill Road (which totally messed up the GPS), the hosts looked after us and got us into a local pub for supper on a Sunday night close to closing time!! They helped us above and beyond!!! The breakfast was included and excellent. The grounds and house are beautiful. They asked us to call first which we did and they explained about the construction on the road in front of the house and I am sure if they had known about the other construction they would have told us that as well. We would go again for one night, or many nights to explore the surrounding area. It is a marvellous spot.
Lovely property in a lovely position with great views . Hosts friendly and welcoming. Something different from the bland same same so often found in hotels
The hosts were friendly and helpful. The drive up to the house was very rough so not good for our car. A sign on the road would also help as property was quite difficult to find. No locks on the doors was a little bit worrying with leaving valuables in our room.
However a beautiful house. We were made very welcome and breakfast was good even though there was not a porridge option. We would stay again.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Good sized room and ensuite. No locks on the door and no identifying numbers on the outside of each room. Suggest at least an inside bolt to stop guests opening the wrong door by mistake ! Could have been a bit warmer on a cool September night but no obvious way to turn up the heating.
Confortable and quiet stay with friendly staff and a beautiful property with incredible views. I would note that although the front door of the property locks, the individual bedrooms do not, which might be something that solo / security conscious travellers might want to be aware of in advance.
Property old with fantastic views but inside it is stuck in a time warp. This may not be too everyone's taste but we liked the nostalgia of it. Host very friendly and welcoming, we arrived on a motorbike and was surprised to find how enthusiastic Roger was about bikes and riding which was a real bonus.

Great location and a lovely quirky little B and B. The owners were very friendly and welcoming. Breakfast was great and would highly recommended staying. Will do so again.
Room was spacious, well decorated and clean. En suite was very good size and had good toiletries. Towels were good size, quality and fluffy!
Breakfast was very good with fruit, juice and cereals, and a freshly cooked full English!
The hosts were friendly and welcoming. Will definitely return.
The home was great, the hosts were very pleasant and helpful. The food was great and the conversation was good. The grounds were beautiful great spot to see some wildlife. And the town was a quick walk down the street. Would highly recommend
Lovely hotel/18th century house. Very accomodating hosts who were kind and couldn't do more for you. Breakfast was lovely too. For the money it's such a bargain, will stay again for sure 😊
Hidden gem with lovely views of Cheddar reservoir.
Friendly welcome on arrival. Lovely Victoria hotel set in beautiful grounds with a view of the Cheddar reservoir. Room comfortable and clean, furnished in keeping with the age of the hotel. Full of character and very homely. Great value for money.
