"We stayed 3 nights at Mike and Chrissy’s place near Greymouth. It was perfect for what we needed … quiet, open, and near enough to Greymouth for groceries and meals, but not so close that we felt we were in “the city”. The weather was cooperative, and we enjoyed eating most meals outside on the deck, and watched the sunset over the Tasman Sea each evening! Comfortable bed, small but well-stocked kitchen, and a very up-to-date bathroom. You have to carry luggage up the stairs, but it’s easy....

"The property itself was lovely but communication not so good. We did not receive any notification before we arrived of the codes to get into the property I had to phone, not so easy with a uk mobile. On arrival the codes we were given allowed us to enter someone else’s room with all their belongings in situ. Our phones no longer allowed us to make a call so we had to enlist the help of another guest and the shop across the road to make contact with the property. In all fairness someone did...
