Catalina Island known as the island of romance is the perfect choice for visitors looking to escape and experience the warmth of a small-town in a fun island destination. Catalina has a year-round Mediterranean climate with warm sunny days and cool evening breezes. Fun activities include scuba, diving, snorkeling, kayaking, fishing, horseback riding, golf, parasailing, shopping, or just relaxing on the beach.

Our Catalina home is a wonderfully warm and sunny cottage just 2 blocks from the beach, shops, boating, and other entertainment. It is located on “the flats” in the center of town for an easy walk to all destinations. It has 2 bedrooms, 1.5 baths and sleeps up to 4 people. The home is decorated with a cheerful Catalina/beach theme. The home is available for a two night quick get-away for an extended rejuvenation stay.

Cute Catalina Cottage
This quirky and darling beach cottage is the perfect location. Close to the beach and near Von’s on Catalina Island. With fans on and windows open we were quite comfortable. We love this home and return to it year after year.

Cute, Funky (in a good way!) Beach Cabin
We loved our stay at Catalina Avenue. The house is just as we expected for an older beach cabin. The house was cozy but had plenty of room for us and the owner was very accommodating. The check in was super easy, with a lock box on the front door. They do need to replace the kitchen smoke alarm; it started beeping on the day we were to leave. Also, we could not get the microwave to work. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable.

Dive into Avalon like a Local
Easy access to all Avalon has to offer. We walked to casino point to scuba dive from shore, walk to the pier to board the dive boat, and then to the marlin club for post dive cocktails.

It was a perfect size for our stay. It was great to have rooms, a kitchen & living room to hang out in after a day at the beach. Walking distance to just about everything not far from the beach or Grocery store at all.TV was not working for us we ended up renting movies from the library.

Birthday relaxation for mom
It is a cute house and the location was great. We are older women and not having air conditioning was a bit hard on us. Even with the open windows and fans it was not cool enough. However, had I been younger I do not think it would have been a big deal. It was nice to have two bathrooms. In the evenings after hiking and shopping around normally we like to watch TV but the house does not offer any streaming services. We could not really figure out how to make it work so that we can have a little bit of Netflix or similar. So we mostly watch regular TV channels. Overall we had a good time and certainly loved the location.

Decent place in town
Decent place, small but cozy. The floor in the middle section is slanted a bit strangely giving you an uneasy feeling. Downside is there is no AC. I stayed here during a September heatwave and had to open all the windows, blast the fans and put wet towels on myself to stay cool.

No venation in cabin, electrical outlets were not useful, need extension cord, many of the lights did not work., no bulbs or not plugged in. Nosey, sounded like people were walking on the roof, but they were next store. Good location. Clean, enough room for the three of us.

Owner is Very Helpful
We ended up having an issue and being unable to stay here, but working with the owner to resolve it was wonderful. She made every effort to accommodate us and I enjoyed talking to her even under stressful circumstances.

Great location
Really enjoyed the location of this cottage. Just a couple blocks to town, the beach and Vons. Made it easy to get around with kids. The cottage was charming in rustic, beachy way, seems like most cottages in the area tend to be small, older and very close together, with little outdoor space, so to be expected. I would recommend the owner invest in decent mattresses for all the beds. They were extremely hard. The nicer pillows helped but no one wanted to sleep in the bunk bed due to how uncomfortable the mattresses were. But overall, it was a cute little house, similar to many others in the neighborhood, and the location was top priority.

Old, but cute little place!
I think it was a great location, there are things that for the price should be updated. 1. invest in blinds that work and are not broken. 2. Invest in a smart TV so people can hook up to their own streaming if you're not going to actually have anything other than 2-13, not a lot of people use DVD's anymore. 3. It's kind of dirty, maybe pay for a deep clean. 4. Invest in mattresses, again for the price there should be beds that are remotly comfortable. It was like sleeping on wood. Last, which is not the owners fault buy just an FYI, The neighbors on the right are SO loud, ALL night. We were all woken up numberous times thoughout the night and early morning hours. I'm all for having a good time but some people like to be sleeping at 3am. It did the job and I would stay there again but only if there were new mattresses.

Darling cottage close to the beach
This was our second year at this property, and my love for it only deepened. It is an authentic piece of Catalina history and is clean, cute and quaint. We will return next year!

Cozy little house
This cozy little house is small, but had everything that we needed. Location is great, just 2 blocks from the beach & 1 block from Vons market. I had one small issue with the internet and the owners response was quick! I would definitely stay here again.
