"A fascinating property with a history. Fabulous views of the chateau from the bedroom windows and from the courtyard. Right in the centre of Saumur, but had a large heated indoor swimming pool. The extra treat was the pool table and pinball machine. It was easy enough to reverse the cars into the courtyard with practice. "Owners/hosts made us very welcome and on hand to help when required. Cottage was ideal for what we were looking for - self contained, quiet, private, secure parking and great base for cycling both sides of the Loire and very quiet back roads. "The cottage itself is well equipped with quality furnishings and equipment. Put together thoughtfully and stylishly by the charming owners. Unfortunately there is no green outdoor space as it's built on the gravel driveway entrance to the owners house, close to the local urban road and a main road. The Gite was spacious and had all the amenities you would need, dishwasher, washing machine, hair dryer, and the kitchen was well equipped.
