"A really nice, boutique hotel, but reception staff on arrival were not friendly, unsmiling and were unhelpful. As wine professionals, we wanted to taste some tank samples of unfinished wine in the bar. The staff wanted to charge us €15 corkage per bottle, even though we were not going to drink these wines. We would have bought a bottle to drink after the professional tasting. Having stayed here for so many years, I was really disappointed with the reception."

"This hotel is very convenient for Briare train station with excellent trains into Paris daily. The staff are very welcoming and attentive. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable. The hotel grounds are lovely, with lots of parkland and trees."

"Overnight stay while biking Eurovelo 3. Reception was friendly and easy. The room was modern and comfortable, in very good condition. Breakfast was excellent, a wide variety of breads, cheese, meats, eggs, etc. I would happily stay here again."

"I had a wonderful stay here, after a long motorcycle ride that started in Amsterdam. Being able to park my vehicle on the secured premises was one of the main reasons for choosing this accommodation, but luckily, everything else ended up being excellent too. "Very friendly welcome. Spotless rooms. Secure parking. Supermarket next door. 5 minute drive to a small shopping complex with a Lidl, Macdonalds, Steakhouse restaurant etc. recommend getting the breakfast here. Good choice of food that will proper set you up for the day. Definitely recommend for a stop over "

"Le système des deux maisons est excellent pour la tranquillité des grand-parents. La maison a vraiment le charme d'une maison de famille, tous les équipements sont présents, ping-pong, badminton, y compris une barque pour promener les enfants sur l'étang. Les environs sont très plaisants et il y a beaucoup de choses à visiter, en particulier la fabuloserie qui vaut le voyage. Nous avons passé un excellent séjour."

Wonderful stay and location

"Lovely hotel with modern comfort and beautiful views. Wine bar in hotel and breakfast offered each morning with both hot and cold options. Great location to walk around Sancerre and also close to many walking paths. I'd suggest getting a room with a balcony or view of the valley. "

Amazing Cost/quality ratio

"The staff was extremely concerned with our well being and have offered a very nice commercial gesture to compensate for the lack of hot water in our room. Our room faced the city of Gien and the view was really great. One just have to walk accross a bridge to reach the interesting sidewalk with restaurants on the other side of the Loire. I prefer that view (Castle of Anne de Beaujeu) from the one the hotels on the other side of the rriver would have. Highly recommended hotel."
