windows cabin 3 · ↞Modern Hill Country Tiny Cabin 3 w/ Loft & Light↠

Just west of Austin in Dripping Springs, this farmhouse-modern cabin is perched on a hill at Wanderin' Star Farms looking out toward lots of local landscape and light! The cabin has a large porch with an oversized farm table, fiber internet, work table, roku tv, and a righteous coffee setup with options ranging from fast and easy to slow and nerdy :). Take a walk on the beautiful 10 acres, visit some animals, sit in a swing, or explore many of the very near and fun eateries and drinkeries!

Our tiny cabins sit on top of a small hill and face outward with views of a creek-wrought "canyon" area. Tons of big windows flood the space with natural light. Awesome kitchen with farm sink and cooktop island with seating for 5 awaits your culinary chops! The walls and 14 foot ceiling are sanded and waxed birch plywood, and the bedroom and loft are painted shiplap. The spacious porch has great views of the area as well as a large farm table for gatherings.

The coffee bar consists of a Keurig brewer with coffee pods and "fixins" for quick coffee, as well as an assortment of slower brewing devices for the nerdier coffee enthusiast!: A french press brewer, chemex brewer with filters, scale, manual grinder, electric grinder, gooseneck kettle, and locally roasted coffee (local roaster’s choice) are all available **BUT YOU MUST LET US KNOW YOU'D LIKE COFFEE BEANS** in the cabin or else we'll assume you're going with the Keurig pods. We'll supply one bag of beans and have additional coffee available for purchase. We also supply a tea kettle and a small assortment of organic hot teas, plus filtered water for all of these!

** No early check-ins allowed for the foreseeable future. PLEASE DO NOT ARRIVE EARLY. Our team needs all the time we can get between stays to clean and prepare the space. **

The cabin, porch, and the entire property are non-smoking areas.

Only booked lodging guests are allowed on the property at any given time.

No shipping or deliveries of any kind to the property.

Common areas have a 10pm curfew.

Please be aware that our property is dog friendly. While dog owners agree to leash rules, guests should always ask the dog’s human for permission to pet or interact.

Friendly dogs are welcome, fee is $50 per dog, for up to one week. Please add your dog to the reservation. Owners of dogs acknowledge that their dog is well behaved & well socialized. Dogs must stay on leash when outside (we have chickens and geese roaming around) and be crated when left alone in the cabin. Please keep pups off of the beds and furniture. Excessive animal impact on the cabin beyond light animal hair will be assessed additional cleaning fees of $50+.
*PLEASE LET US KNOW ASAP IF YOU PLAN ON BRINGING YOUR DOG*

If you are interested in this cabin but it's booked for your dates, please click on my profile to link to the other listings here on the ranch!

Guests are free to mozy around the "canyon" (lower area of farm around creek) area of the farm and venue, which has a great kids area, pavilion (contact us to reserve), large fire ring, huge swings, and great natural areas to explore. There's a simple 'loop' road that does a small (1/2 mile?) lap around the 10 acres. Please don't cross any fences or closed gates. Thank you!

We are happy to help with anything while you are here at WSF, please shoot us a message via Airbnb and we'll get back asap!

Wanderin' Star Farms is located on Silver Creek Rd, between Dripping Springs and Bee Cave, TX, and has a gated entry. We share the road with Solaro Estate Winery and Prospect House wedding venue. Right around the corner on Fitzhugh to the west is Treaty Oak Distillery with Alice's Restaurant, Abby Jane's bakery and coffee shop, and Barton Springs Mill - all on the same property.

At the corner of RR12 & Fitzhugh there's a little center with Route 12 Filling Station which is awesome for lunch and dinner, and has a splash pad for kids. Next to Route 12 is One Shot Distillery and Dripping Wings food trailer - both great!

Down Fitzhugh to the east a half mile or so is Fitzhugh Brewing and Kitchen - fantastic beers and amazing chef curated menu. Further east on Fitzhugh are Beerburg, Jester King Brewery and Kitchen, and several others. Such a fun area, all places are family friendly! Check out #fitzhughdistrict online on to see pics of our area!

Walking or biking on the roads beyond our little Silver Creek Rd can be tedious and dangerous, so we discourage it because the roads are very narrow and winding. We have the contact information for several local Uber/Lyft drivers with whom you can to pre-schedule rides, happy to pass on their contact!

Tiny home on a ranch in Texas
Perfect little hideaway outside of Austin TX. All the amenities in a small town, with everything you need to have time away, but just close enough to the city to get out and explore!

Just book it!
I stayed here with my husband and 2 children (ages 8 and 2). In a word, it was perfection. You feel off the beaten path but so close to everything Dripping Springs has to offer. It was quiet and secluded and totally private. My kids loved the playground and animals, and did not want to leave. The one concern we had before getting there was the A/C. Would we be cool enough in the July heat? It was cold! They really make sure you stay cool, including portable fans which we didn’t even need. We will be back.

Relaxing Getaway
Had no problems finding the property/checking in. The property manager checked in with me to make sure we found everything okay which was appreciated. It was a cute tiny home that was well kept and so was the property around it. I went with my family including a 16-month-old and we enjoyed meeting the animals and exploring the surrounding area. Highly recommend!

Work Trip
Stay at this property now two times and I’ve stayed at a lot of tiny houses in the area. This property is one of my favorites, quiet, peaceful, relaxing, good accommodations. Was able to add an extra day with no issue, which was wonderful communication with the host is about as easy as you would like it to be. Property has several other little cabins on it to stay out if you got a family to bring out there just a great place. Do not think you’d be unhappy.

Wedding Weekend
We spent the weekend in Dripping Springs to attend a wedding at The Prospect House, which was just down the road. Josh was helpful and responsive to all my questions; everything (check-in, etc.) was as he said it would be. The cabin was very clean and accommodating for me, my husband, daughter and son-in-law. When staying with others, keep in mind that the one bathroom is in the master bedroom (it was fine for us). We also enjoyed walking the grounds and visiting the animals.

Quite and Peacesful
Just what I was looking for when I stay little bit of peace and quiet. Would definitely stay here again when I come back to Austin area. The kitchen was adequately stocked. If you’re like me, I like to bring and cook my own food. It gets old eating out all the time when traveling. The patio was nice to sit out on and do some work. I don’t know how many other cabins they had on property, I saw a few. If you are traveling as a group, this place would be perfect. There were a few other cabins on property all within walking distance of each other. Overall, just a very nice layout.

Cozy Retreat in the Heart of Dripping Springs
We recently had the pleasure of staying at a Wandering Star Farm in one of their charming tiny houses, and it exceeded our expectations in every way. Tucked away in a serene natural setting, this little retreat provided a unique and memorable getaway. The tiny house was well-equipped with modern amenities, including a fully stocked kitchen, a comfortable bed, and was surprisingly spacious enough for all of us. Communication with the property owner through VRBO was seamless. Check-in and check-out were a breeze, adding to the overall stress-free experience. Whether you're a couple looking for a romantic retreat or a solo traveler seeking a peaceful escape, this tiny house offers a perfect blend of comfort, style, and natural beauty. We highly recommend it and can't wait to return for another rejuvenating stay.

Tiny House, Big Win
We had such a great time staying here. My wife and I were in the area checking out local wineries and breweries. There is both a winery and brewery less than a mile away and another three less than 2 miles away. Ideal location in awesome little house and Setting, I believe there were seven tiny houses, two yurts, two cows and two donkeys. There’s also a playground for kids and a pavilion and hang out area. I definitely recommend and we will be back.
