Private Escape Tucked Away in Texas Hill Country - Stunning Views & Pool!

On just over ten acres in the heart of beautiful Texas Hill Country, this property will take you far away from it all. Removed from the sound and light of the city and even separated from the small road you arrive on by a charming long driveway, this three bed, two full bath home sleeps 6 comfortably.

True appreciation of this little part of the world is inevitable with the amazing sunsets and views for miles, and all of the bright stars that blanket the night sky. The homestead has a storied history, including visits by President LBJ when only the outdoor pavilion and hunting lodge stood on the grounds (built in the 1920s and 1940s, respectively).

The property has since undergone a face lift with an extensive renovation and addition in 1997. It is a truly special place, surrounded by untouched land. You will hear birds singing, glimpse white tail deer foraging and truly reconnect with nature, achieving a relaxed mindfulness that will leave you floating all the way home.

While we do enjoy all the luxuries that come with electricity, the property is otherwise off the grid. Rainwater easily supports the home and is so pleasant - not salty, hard or full of heavy metals like the tap we are used to. Extra bonus is your hair and skin will be super soft! The pool and hot tub are picturesque, set in a natural stone deck that feels like a simple extension of the surrounding countryside. Both are serviced weekly and maintained to the highest standard.

The outside covered pavilion is complete with flat screen television, fireplace, seating and dining area. Inside you will find all of the conveniences - powerful central A/C, washer and dryer, and ultra fast wireless internet, to name a few. The master bedroom has a king bed and private bath, and there are queen beds in each of the other two bedrooms, connected by a bath.

Beautiful oasis in the hill country!
The views were even more breathtaking than in the photos! The house was very clean and the Mexican decor was adorable. The kitchen was well stocked with blenders, a toaster, a coffeemaker, and plenty of cookware, bakeware, and serveware. The pool and hot tub were very clean and well maintained. The only problem with the hot tub is that the heating element did not appear to work, although the blowers did. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return!

Amazing property!!
We had a fabulous time spending Christmas here. The home is huge with many patios. We can’t say enough about the spectacular views from every window and patio door. Definitely in hill country. The kitchen was stocked with everything I needed for cooking and baking. The pool and hot tub looked amazing, unfortunately the weather didn’t cooperate. Jennifer made our stay extra special and was easy to reach when needed. We plan to come again!!!! 12/2022

Unique property
Very relaxing long weekend was spent at this house. It has the most beautiful view. We especially loved the outdoor pavillion with the comfortable furniture and even a TV! What a treat. The kitchen is not a "cook's" kitchen. But who cares! The outdoor grill was very nice. The owners obviously take good care of the property. You will love it if you are loooking for a place to slow down and enjoy the view.

Poorly kept property
The one good point was the view. Otherwise the place was terrible. I took pictures of the lawn furniture that was all falling apart. The blinds in one guest room were broken and would not close. There are either termites or carpentar ants with the droppings on the window sill in the master bedroom. The air vent in the kitchen appears to have never been cleaned. I could go on. This makes me question if VRBO vets the properties before listing on line.

The tv system should be upgraded. This tenant had trouble accessing Netflix. I would start an episode and the tv would kick it out after it began. I would have put in my own username and password, but the "hisense" tv was not allowing me to do that. The tv in the master only showed network programing and I could not access Netflix or Prime account set up. The home pictures showed an outdoor fireplace and had an indoor fireplace but therre was not any stacked wood and kindling. Probably should state on the site that they are not to be used. The dishwasher seemed be broken. Outstanding views, extreme quiet and very comfortable beds.

Hill Country Getaway
This home was the perfect setting for our family getaway! We loved the layout of the house, particularly the outdoor areas. The pool view was so peaceful and we enjoyed watching the sunsets from the covered porch.

Great Getaway Spot
We really enjoyed our stay in Dripping Springs. The pool and the view were beautiful. We felt very comfortable with so many areas to relax, read, and chat while we were there. The only “hiccup” we encountered was that the main water was turned off when we arrived and there weren’t any instructions on how to turn it on. After we got in contact with the owner, we were able to get running water and use the bathroom lol. They should add these instructions to the binder with all the information in it. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again in the future.

Great girls weekend
It was a great get away. So peaceful and relaxing. Fun wineries and distilleries in the area. No pool towels or rafts, we knew ahead so a friend not flying in was able to bring them for us. No cooking oil or plastic wear for left overs, only one roll of paper towels no napkins. All not a huge deal the grocery store was 4 miles away. Would definitely come back. .

We lived in the pool
The Texas Hill country is a beautiful area and this house nestled on hill is about the best place to enjoy it. The property sits on 10 acres and though you can see some neighboring houses, I definitely could hear no one else. It felt secluded and private...and the location is within a 30 minute to hour drive of a whole host to attractions and activities. As for communication with the Owner/Property manager, the was probably the most outstanding VRBO experience I've had. There was an issue with the water supply during an extended drought. Jennifer got the issue resolved as quickly as possible and throughout conducted business in a manner that demonstrated her fist concern was that my family and I were completely able to enjoy our vacation. 5 STARS for Jennifer.

The house is ideally situated to rest or to visit nearby places in the Hill Country. The house has everything you need for self catering and a lovely pool to relax in. It is the perfect place to relax in and enjoy the pool each day after travelling.

Warning! Read before renting!!!
If you are looking for a private getaway, don’t stay here!!! This property was not maintained accordingly and we ended up spending the majority of our time dealing with issues, a handy man and a pool guy. The pool was dirty and stagnant when we arrived. It had mold and black debris adhered to the bottom and sides, as well as leaves and debris floating on the top. The router was broken, so the internet was not working and one of toilets squeals for about 30 seconds, every 7 to 10 minutes. The host, Jennifer, never once apologized and treated me as though she was doing me a favor by sending people to try to fix things. Neither the handy man nor the pool guy were able to improve/fix anything, just wasted our time. We spent an hour on the phone ourselves, with Spectrum,activating a new router that the handy man brought and hooked up. This was a very stressful vacation, definitely not what we were expecting. I reached out to Jennifer and expressed our dissatisfaction and provided pictures, so she could how awful the pool was. I requested a partial refund. To top it all off, she chose to completely ignore me. If it were my property, I would be ashamed and would insisted on refunding the entire amount. I highly recommend you save yourself the stress, disappointment and frustration and choose another place.

Very quiet and relaxing
The house and property is very beautiful. The house, for the most part, is comfy and cozy. So many wonderful things about the house…pool, bbq area, roomy, etc. We would definitely come back to stay at this house again, without hesitation if the following problems were corrected. 1) The bathroom doors do not lock. 2) the dining area gets extremely hot in the afternoon, even with the a/c at a very low temperature. Blinds are desperately needed in the dining and living room areas to make guests more comfortable. Instructions on how to use the stove and dishwasher would be very helpful, along with a note when appliances do not work. (Microwave oven over stove.). We had great family time together, making wonderful memories.

Wonderful Hill Country view
Everything was perfect! Beautiful patio to sit by the pool overlooking the countryside. We saw a fox, a deer with baby and a couple of cool lizards. The interior was quirky, fun and comfortable. The beds were firm and comfy, kitchen was well stocked. Communication with the owner was prompt and she was very helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and highly recommend this property for a relaxing getaway. Hope we can visit again in the future!

Excellent design & floor layout, unique design, beautiful view of the sunset, pool and hot tub were a plus. Back outdoor fireplace area is perfect for entertaining. We loved it so much we booked it again in November for my brothers wedding!!!
