Built in 2013, this upscale, perfectly situated one-bedroom apartment in east downtown Austin is in one of the most sought-after neighborhoods in the city! From the locally-owned, nationally-recognized restaurants and dive bars to access to the hiking and biking trail, this home offers the perfect launching pad for your Austin vacation.

The main living space is composed of the combined kitchen, dining, and living room. The living room has a large flat screen TV, desk space, and surrounding windows with views of downtown Austin. A futon can fold out in to a full-size bed and a queen-size air mattress provides more sleeping options. The fully equipped kitchen comes stocked with all your cooking needs and all-new stainless steel appliances, a Keurig coffee maker, and plenty of counter space. The bedroom is located down the hall with a queen bed and small office nook. The full bathroom in the hallway has a beautiful tile/stone walk-in shower and granite sink.

The location of this home simply can't be beat. Your home away from home is on the alley behind Willow Street, one of the most sought-after streets in the city. The Willow-Spence Historic District features an intact neighborhood of houses, churches and commercial buildings built in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.

Across from apartment is a beautifully restored 1887 home, Cenote Café. Four blocks north you'll find Plaza Saltillo shops and restaurants, such as Hopdoddy Burger Bar, Snooze Eatery as well as Whole Foods and Target. Nationally recognized eateries Launderette, La BBQ, Juniper and Austin landmark Juan-in-a-Million, home to the 'Don Juan Taco” are all Eastside favorites and a walk or short Uber trip away.

In the evening, walk to live music venues such as the Historic Scoot Inn, originally built in 1871. Great home away from home
This property was perfect for our first time in Austin. The location is so close to everything, yet far enough away so you’re not dealing with tourist traffic or noise. You can walk to Rainey street, downtown and a few cute shops and eateries near the Whole Foods. I understand some don’t like the homeless problem, but it’s an issue everywhere and they didn’t bother me or my daughter as two women traveling alone. Also, you have a car, you’ll have no problems at all since you have a garage that keeps you from interacting with any of that. The place inside has everything you need, is well maintained and updated. I’ll definitely stay there again if I ever decide to go back to Texas!

Well stocked 2nd floor apt
The heat in Texas is scorching! We were so happy to see chilled bottled water in the 'fridge! for us! Communication very clear. Kitchen stocked for cooking, putting leftovers away, and freezer space. My party of 3 was very comfortable for 5 days. We were able to walk to the "Bat Bridge" and local restaurant, Cenote.

Austin vacation
This property was clean and well taken care of. It was decorated very cute. It had the perfect amount of space for my husband and me. It was located very close (walking distance or a quick drive) to Rainey Street, 6th Street (enjoyed East 6th Street and Rainey), and downtown Austin. There was so much to do within a 30-40 mile drive of Austin we were never bored. It was also great to have a garage to park in since we rented a car. The property manager was great to work with and responded very quickly to any questions we had and even called one day to follow up that everything was going OK. We would definitely stay again.

Vacasa property manager terrible
No beddings available for futon and air mattress for my two adult children. I called Vacasa management 4 times in 24 hrs till somebody could give me the code for the locked closet with beddings. A bag of beddings arrived on the doorstep on the third day of 4. Owner supplied beddings for us every day herself

Perfect for young couples!
The space was sparkling clean and a short walk to 6th street and downtown. Plenty to access within the walk of a mile. There is a "tent city" with homeless people outside of the apartment that we were unaware of prior to booking. Everyone was friendly and minded their own business, but at some times you could hear yelling and verbal altercations occurring. This would have been good to know ahead of time. The space is comfortable and very clean. The hot water takes a bit to heat up - but good to go after that! The entry to the home was easy and felt very safe and secure.

Rating Details: The property manager was very unhelpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was more than happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The place was exceptional clean. New construction, perfect size for two. The couch made out to a bed, but not comfortable. Owner stock plenty of towels, and coffee. Only thing missing was a wine opener and a sponge. As it's new construction, the area has quite a few homeless people. None which bother my daughter and I. The unit had a garage you could park your car in which was a plus! 35E a very close by, no noise from it.

Convenient Location to Nightlife!
Pros - Nice place: impressed with double secure entries plus garage, good amenities (bath products, K-cups, creamers), quality pillows, futon/couch, window view of Austin high-rises. Right across the street great breakfast & coffee @ Cenote. La BBQ 1 mile. Reasonable (half to 1 mile) walking distance or rideshare (ZTrip or Uber - check prices) to 6th St (the nicer part, but did check out "Dirty 6th"), bars & food places, food trucks, The White Horse East Austin Honky Tonk, cocktail bars, beer joints, live music, as well as Rainey St. bars & food trucks. Walkable to a mini Target & Whole Foods. We had a car so could drive to further sites - South Congress, Capitol Building, Breweries, & restaurants on our list. Cons - Maybe because it was 2nd week of SXSW - construction, street closures, traffic, know most street parking is unavailable for a variety of reasons. Be aware if you are a light sleeper: the alley faces a busy street (Cesar Chavez). As the weekend approached, it became busier & noisier with traffic, street people, & sirens. Yes, there were homeless sleeping in the grass & getting food handouts in the parking lot of the library where our windows faced, but for the most part, the street people did not bother us even when walking to our destinations. However, one man was particularly loud on Thursday night at 2 a.m. shouting (to no one) so loudly & quite frequently from the street corner for a half-hour, I'm surprised he did not rupture an aneurysm. IMO - Low water pressure in shower & takes a while to heat up. Overall - This is a very good rental. The pros outweighed the cons, & we had a good experience. It was convenient & we would likely stay again now that we figured out where everything is & how to get around to avoid traffic.

Beautiful and super clean
Beautiful property, super clean and conveniently located close to downtown and the UT campus. The property had eveyrhing you can think of. Location was great and super close to UT where I had a conference to attend. The surrounding area is a bit up and coming , there was a lot or homeless people at the park across the street, so just stay vigilant and safe. .

Great Apartment, Slightly Noisy
The apartment itself is clean and comfortable. It had everything we needed for a long weekend stay (stove, coffee maker, fridge, etc). The garage/parking was very convenient too as we drove our car. While there is no more homeless encampment in the park behind the apartment, there are still many homeless people who gather there during the day. While the apartment itself was fantastic, be aware that you’ll likely hear homeless people shouting occasionally (we saw a couple of fights, one man yelling at everyone who walked by so leaving the apartment was a little worrying). However no one bothered us and I would have felt better if our car fit in the garage (it was too tall, so not the apartment’s fault). I also felt totally safe inside, the shouting was more annoying than anything. Overall, I recommend this place, just know you’ll see and hear homeless people outside.

Super nice interiors but misleading location
Let me start by saying the interiors, and the structure and the proximity of this place to downtown was amazing. However, the outdoor street view images are misleading. It shows a lovely residential street but in reality it’s backed up in the alley to a parking lot, which is the home to approximately 50 homeless people at any moment in time. Even though we were not bothered, it would’ve still been nice to know that this is the current situation at this listing. Especially if you are traveling by yourself. Other than that, the interiors, the furniture, the cleanliness, and the amenities were great.

After a rough start, the stay was phenomenal! It’s quiet, convenient to all downtown and shops close by, and had everything we needed. It’s close to HEB as well. We would stay here again if we return for activities downtown.
