For a memorable and fun-filled vacation, complete with hiking, dock-jumping, fishing, and boating in a secluded cove, plan your escape to this waterfront cabin with a private deck that sits just steps away from the South Shore of Lake Travis! This is a favorite swimming cove for many past guests, see why people return to this rental year after year. Now is the perfect time to be at the lake!

Although once part of Robin's Nest Bed and Breakfast, this Lake Cabin has now transitioned to a short-term rental and is the perfect vacation rental for couples or small groups looking to escape city life! If your group is a bit larger ask us about the Cottage or other properties on this cove. We can bundle several properties together for your group. Life is better at the lake.

-Access to a common area (that is shared with one other rental property "the Cottage" that can be rented with the Cabin if you are traveling in a large group)

-Large yard with fire pit, cowboy pool and hammock.
-Access to 100 feet of Lake Travis shoreline, including boat dock that is loaded with lake toys,(don't forget your fishing poles)!

Walking distance to the Sundancer Grill for a meal on the water!

****As of October 2024 there is a few feet of water to swim in. Due to the very low lake levels. For most recent updates, please contact us prior to booking**** If you are looking to bring a boat, we highly suggest checking the lake levels through the LCRA for Lake Travis (Mansfield). Boat Ramps are open when the level is below 679' MSL (mean sea level) and Boat Parking is open when lake levels are below 675' MSL.

If you’ve had your fun in the sun and are needing a night on the town, hop in the car and you can keep it weird in Downtown Austin - just 20 miles away! The surrounding Texas Hill Country also offers plenty of shops, restaurants, wineries, and hikes for you to indulge in.

This cozy cabin on Lake Travis accommodates 4 people (no more) and is the ideal retreat for you to escape the heat, so what are you waiting for?

Great trip!
The owner of the property met us when we checked in, Bubba was very nice and helpful. The cabin we stayed in was perfect, clean, right on the water, great fishing from the private dock, located in Lakeway, close to some great restaurants on the water with live music and good food.

Quiet and private with a private dock on the lake.
We enjoyed our stay very much. You would have never known this place endured 3ft of water during the Fall 2018 flood. Everything we could have wanted was provided and the neighborhood was quiet and peaceful and private. We may come back when it’s warmer in the summertime.

Clean and reasonable location
Not as nice as photos create impression. Very small and plain and limited view of water. The bed was comfortable and house was clean and the AC worked great. If just need a place to crash and don’t plan to spend a lot of time there should be fine. However, would probably get more for your money if you spent the same money for a hotel.

Relaxing Stay
We found the Cabin to be just the right size for the two of us. The privacy and comfortable interior was good. We notified them the coffee pot was broken, and they purchased a brand new one and brought it by the same day. Guests need to be aware the TV is streaming only. Though in no way a reflection on the host, the lake being so low was a disappointment as we chose the cabin based on fishing out the back door at the dock. We did enjoy R&R just the same.

Amazing property located on the cove☀️
Couldn’t of asked for a more relaxing time with my son who is 12. We were on walking distance to Sundancegrill. Great food and cocktails. The dock was so nice and clean . All the water toys were available to use. My son jumped over the dock all day. We made friends in the cove that had rented other properties. We will definitely be back. Last minute weekend trip to Late Travis
Stayed in "The Cabin" 2 nights, Fri & Sat. Great location on Quiet lake cove in Lakeway area. Amy & Jenn were so nice to Allow a same day booking. Cabin very cozy, clean and decorated Very well. Had own patio, shared large yard and big dock on cove. We brought our boat and used one of the 4 slips. Plenty of room and privacy. Bubba and Robin, onsite owners We're very nice, and stopped by to check on us. Sundancer Grill Just a block away a great place to eat. It was great to be able To take our dog with us to pet friendly lodging. Will definitely Go back, would like try other three units each time as all Are different and unique. My partner and I enjoyed our stay. Thanks again to Amy & Jenn for great last minute accommodations and service.

Anniversary Getaway
We were very pleased with renting this cottage for our anniversary. The cottage was very neat and clean. Has all the amenities of home! Kitchen was stocked with appliances etc. Manager was very helpful and prompt with any questions/needs that we had. Nice view of the lake. Restaurant and boat dock were within walking distance. Had stocked fire pit and deck area. Quiet and relaxing atmosphere. We would definitely rent again!

Having stayed at Robins Nest with our Shih Tzu...
Having stayed at Robins Nest with our Shih Tzu previously a couple of years ago, we made our reservation expecting the same nice bed and breakfast. Its pricy and an extra $50 for the pet, but we thought quaint. However, the check in process has changed and led to confusion on our part before resolving that we never got the intended instructional email before arrival. Once that was handled, the code entry door was a problem but also resolved. The Cabin has a very small shower, not as nice as The Perch room we had before, the TV didnt work, there was a discrepancy with the WiFi info, and then we found out there was no breakfast anymore. Probably should have been mentioned at initial reservation. Robin prepared a super breakfast each morning at our previous stay. That was a disappointment. They did accommodate us and extended our check out because we were golfing until 2 pm, which was appreciated.

Everything was fine except two areas: the eating utensils were very limited....not enough and we were a small group of two. The second issue was that there were baby roaches were climbing out of the sink and flies were inside the rooms from the first moment we entered the cabin.

Fun weekender
My wife and I live in fort worth Texas and just recently stayed the weekend for our anniversary. We needed something that would accommodate our 2 labs and 2 kids. This place was so great for entertaining the kids. There is a diving board on the deck and a lookout above it, that they jumped off. The restaurant in walking distance was convenientl, it kept us from having to buy groceries. It does not serve breakfast though. The only complaint I would have is there was not a separate backyard for our dogs. There were other houses that had dogs also and the backyard is shared with 3 other houses. We were forced to walk them on a leash and keep them inside. We were hoping they could enjoy the vavation also. Other then that, the trip was great... we prob would have not taken the dogs had we known a little more.

Awesome Lake Cabin
The Cabin on Stewart Cove was an awesome place to stay for a girl's lake weekend on Lake Travis. The cabin and dock area were private and perfect for celebrating a friend's birthday! Stewart Cove is a quick drive from the heart of Austin, yet you feel away from the city while vacationing. Floating in the cove was heavenly. The iTrip Team was amazing too. When I reported the Internet was not working on the first morning of the stay, a hotspot was dropped within a half hour. The Cabin was so relaxing that we reserved another night. The dog loved the property too! My friends and I highly recommend this property.

Great spot by the lake
The Cabin is a great spot by lake Travis. It’s perfect for a couple. The space is light and bright with a great deck and back yard with a dock. The deck is perfect for morning coffee and evening wine. It’s very peaceful and relaxing. We will definitely be back!

I booked for a client in the area who had been displaced due to some water damage. Amy was very accommodating and was quick to resolve any issues that the client had during their stay.
