"I decided to host my family and friends in a chateau in Champagne for my 50th birthday! I chose this one because it looked like it jumped off the page of a Brontë novel. After reading reviews and looking in a map, I wasn’t expecting anything near by. So we had planned to enjoy some time at the chateau, have a birthday party, then head out on day trips. Épernay/Reims and Dijon are all about 2 hours away. It was perfect. I could not have been happier with my decision. We very comfortably fit 13...

"The hotel was lovely, in a great location. The food in the restaurant was absolutely spectacular; one of the best meals I've had in years. Some of the decor in the hotel is a bit dated, there didn't appear to be spare pillows, and we had a separate loo with no sink, so you had to go around to the main bathroom to wash your hands. Apart from these two issues, would have given five stars."

"Perfect location in a quiet village a short distance from Chaumont. Very comfortable accommodation in a quaint traditionally French hotel and a very good host. The continental breakfast was excellent with homemade jams and good bread and croissants. Over all, a great place to stay."

"Such a beautiful find in the heart of Langres. Friendly owners and a beautiful room..all very clean and typically French. Enjoyed the addition of a Jacuzzi bath.. would definitely recommend .. "

"The staff could not have been more welcoming and accommodating. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Though I had booked a double room I was given two singles but, only because the key given was incorrect ( easy to confuse a 6 & 9!) but it was no issue for me, I should have questioned it but with two dogs in hand easier to just settle in the first room! We were late yet they still gave us a table in the restaurant, and OMG the food was amazing. Next day breakfast delicious, loads of home made...

"Old, quaint house in center of a village with 3 restaurants total (1 was a pizza place). Room style from the 60’ and needs refurbishment. Ok for the price. Restaurant with seating outside. Nice, food ok, nothing special. 3 course meal for EUR35. Opened at 19:00, quite opposite to the night b4 in Germany: They closed at 20:00! Bed very good. Showerhead needs changing…. "

"A very pleasant B&B in Champagne region of France. The property was clean and the host welcoming. Very quiet village, with no restaurant or bars, and we weren't aware the host would cook meals on request. Our only complaints were not being able to eat in our room and new towels are required! Otherwise very pleasant stay."

"This rental property is a huge cut above anything we have ever stayed in...and that goes back many years. The properties have been restored to a very high standard, with taste and grace. The bedrooms are all beautiful, and the bathrooms immaculate. The living accommodation has been thoughtfully planned out to be versatile for any combination of events and people. We used the outside table for several al fresco dinners of 20, and we used the inside tables at both properties for meals also seating...

"Stayed here with our digs for two nights on way to Nice. Fabulous location with great dog walks along a geeen way and to a lake right beside the campsite entrance. Restaurant looked amazing but sadly we hadn’t booked. This is a regular trip for us and we will definitely stay again. "

We were late yet they still gave us a table in the restaurant, and OMG the food was amazing. Next day breakfast delicious, loads of home made pastries etc, the croissant and jam particularly 😋. A wonderful hotel, lovely town with lovely walks for the dogs. "
