On the owner’s farm there are chickens and sheep in the fields and wild birds for nature lovers. There are numerous forest walks and mountain bike trails in the Ochil Hills for out door enthusiasts. Cyclists can also enjoy miles of wonderfully quiet roads in the most fabulous of settings in rural Perthshire. Nearby Auchterarder, with its mile long high street, has plenty of coffee shops, restaurants, interesting local shops, gallery and deli and local supermarket. Golfers are spoilt for choice, with the championship and well-known Gleneagles Golf Resort as well as Auchterarder and Stirling Golf Courses within a short drive and St Andrews just under an hour. For those who enjoy a “wee dram” there are several distilleries including Famous Grouse and Tullibardine Distillery Families will enjoy a trip to Blair Drummond Safari Park and Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre. For friends and family visiting students at Stirling University, or attending one of the graduation ceremonies the university is only 20 minutes’ drive.
