Cozy Canyon Cottage: Come relax, hike, run, or walk 2 town 4 some amazing faire

Nestled just steps away from the American River Canyon as well as Old Town and Down town Auburn, this quaint cottage offers all you need to enjoy the abundance of options the area has to offer. Trail running, mountain biking, hiking, river rafting, award winning wineries and breweries, music, and if you choose, a glimpse into what started the movement west in 1852. GOLD!
The cottage has an open concept with a queen bed, a leather sectional, and a sleeping loft with a twin mattress. Well appointed kitchen with a full size refrigerator, large microwave, coffee maker, electric kettle, gas stove, counter top convection oven, blender and coffee grinder for the fresh beans.
There is a desk area if you need to get some work done and a great ductless A/C and gas fireplace if you want to enjoy a fire.
We are here to help with directions, instruction and suggestions. Great for kids, and we welcome well behaved pets upon approval.
The area around the cottage has mature boxwood bushes, an antique gate and some deer deter fencing. Is not totally secure to keep the pups in.

A great place to stay
Cozy Canyon Cottage was the perfect place to stay in Auburn. It was a happy medium between a 1-bedroom and a studio, and I’ve seldom seen such a well-stocked and equipped kitchen. Alex, the owner, lives right next door and was incredibly helpful

Beautiful Place to Stay
Our hosts were wonderful. Alex met us during check in - gave us a quick overview and gave us great suggestions for what to do in the area and where to eat. The bed was comfortable and so was the sofa! Everything was great. Also - the place is just beautiful and so well equipped. Thank you so much!

Fantastic Little Cottage
No offense to the picture taker, but the pictures on the website don't do justice to how great this little cottage is. It's far more spacious than it looks. The host was awesome, very nice and helpful. It's very quiet and we will definitely stay there again.

Drove up to the property in a very condensed neighborhood. The driveway had old washers and dryers, engine and parts, trash, dirt. I had to walk around the debris to get to the door. Host said it would be unlocked, it was locked. A large dog inside barking. The smell was of old trash and disgusting.

My dog and I enjoyed our stay because it was indeed a cozy cottage with stocked kitchen and very comfy bed. I particularly liked the chicken coop sounds, the flowers and the outside seating. I recommend this little house.

Love this magical cottage!
My BFF and I stayed at this magical cottage and had a wonderful time! Alex, the owner, was also magical! She met us the night we checked in and gave us a quick tour and history of the cottage. The loft was so cozy and the queen bed was so comfortable! We also loved the fresh eggs that Alex left for us from her chickens. We would definitely stay here again!

Loved this place...so comfortable all around!! Loved how private it was....and the ambience of inside was really cute. Only stayed one night....but in the future hope too stay longer. The outside gardens are very inviting and chickens too were a nice surprise!! Thank-You .....

Charming Getaway
Our visit was perfect in every way. The cottage is tucked away behind a sweet garden of flowers, vegetables, fountains and garden gates under a shady canopy of trees. Even the two chickens were charming and very quiet. The inviting porch and interior had all the comforts of home and is fully equipped. The host is friendly and helpful. We had a lovely time and would definitely consider a return visit.

An overall great little cottage
This place is a great retreat for a couple and even has a little loft area that kids will love that they can sleep in. Lots of wildflowers and plants with singing birds a-plenty to help you relax. It is a work in process, but is very close to being completed. Some minor things like hanging free outlet covers and some debris plies outside, but nothing from stopping me from staying again. It’s a very quiet little cottage. Looking forward to see it again.

What a pretty little cottage !!
I cannot say enough about the cottage we stayed in. It was quiet and very serene. It had countless amenities and the kitchen was out favorite. Nice open kitchen with everything we needed to cook and eat take out too. We have loved Auburn for a long time but never stayed there. The town is the coolest with so much to do and then there is the hiking -we only did a short hike but it was really fun and really got our blood flowing too. I feel I should say something needing attention too - but there was so little that was bad about the house I would say that the couch needs to be updated as it is very worn. That is all in the help area - overall it was a great stay and we were so much more relaxed and happy - it was outr Anniversary and it was a perfect romantic weekend !! Thanx to Christina and Glen!!! We will come back!!

Adorable Granny Flat
We had a great time during our 5 day Thanksgiving weekend. It was just my husband, myself our 2 small dogs, but the pictures do not do the place justice. It's roomier than it looks and the kitchen was larger than it appeared, which was great because I cooked our T-day meal and pie from scratch. Alex has done a great job aesthetically, with lots of cute touches and there are most everything a person could want for cooking from lots of high rquality pots and pans, ramekins, sheet pans, muffin pan, bowls, lovely ceramic dishes, good knives, blender/food processor, bamboo tools and so on. One thing however, and this will not be an issue for most people, but it's more of a studio than a true one bedroom, since the alcove where the bed is located does not have a door and looks right out into the living area. My husband had worked 10, ten hour days straight and was exhausted and I had to get up early and start cooking, and it woke him up. Again, not a big deal. The chickens were adorable, and we enjoyed them very much. It was mostly peaceful and quiet (there was some construction next door---not anyone's fault, and putting some music on the TV drowned it out). Couch was comfy and Alex and her family went above and beyond, and lent us a folding table and good wooden chairs for our T-day dinner. Alex is so easy to work with, and it was a true pleasure to meet her and her family (even the furry ones), and we will definitely keep this lovely place in mind in the future. Thanks to Alex and Glenn for letting us in their life and sharing this cute and functional home.

Peaceful Cottage Retreat
My dog and I were welcomed for 6 nights at this sweet Auburn cottage. The kitchen was well stocked--great locally roasted coffee provided--and there was a lovely porch with a garden to enjoy morning coffee or evening wine. The hosts, Glen and Alexandra, were so accommodating and easy to reach, and made sure everything was satisfactory. Located in a quiet canyon, we met many dog walkers, saw several dear and had a great experience overall! I would definitely stay here again.
