We enjoyed our early morning bike rides to Clan Gregor Square and Pioneer Park in the afternoon to watch the sunset. The cottage had everything we needed to make our stay away from home perfect. A quick note- both neighbours are very close as the property is beautiful but narrow. They were blasting music very loudly most of the day and both nights but graciously turned it down when we asked, but we could still hear it through the walls. This is not something the owners can control though. Normally I wouldn't care about music but...

We have been to Bayfield many times before and love exploring the town and the surrounding areas, but on this occasion, we found the house and private garden too enjoyable to leave for long. "First off, the listing is not accurate - it states "5 bedrooms", it's 3 bedrooms, a sunroom and a loft. As well two bed pictures in the listing were not in the space we rented - this should be fixed. One of the "queen beds" was actually two box springs and a 2 inch foam piece - not even remotely useable. The kitchen is well equipped, but when we got there 2 of the 3 pot lights over the sink as well as the light over the stove was out-we replaced what we could. The space is large for sure, but...

"We had a great time at Sunset Serenity. Very private location nestled amongst the trees and super close to Bayfield. The cottage is nice and cottagy with all the comforts. We loved the layout and the decor, and especially the hot tub. A really nice touch on cooler days when lake swimming isn’t an option. The outdoor wood burning fireplace was our favourite feature. We had a fire going all day long! So great. The only thing we would have changed or would suggest, was a little bit of treetop...

"The view at Jervis Bay is stunning. The blue of the water rivals the Carribean and on a calm, sunny day it is so clear you can see the boulders standing on the bottom from the top of the property. The beach is quiet, peaceful and makes for great swimming. Combination of sand and stone but with a pair of water shoes, totally easy to enter and get around. "This property is a dog owners dream! Huge fenced backyard so you don't have to have your pup on leash all the time and we had access to a private beach which my bulldog loved. We used the beach daily and never ran into another person on it. The town of Bayfield has water bowls for dogs outside most shops and again our bulldog was welcome most places in town. All of this made vacationing with our dog really easy - which was initially a worry of ours when booking time away from home."

"The cottage was charming and quaint. It was clean and outditted well. We had a wonderful short trip. The lake was rocky, but perfectly cool to combat the heat! We enjoyed it immensly. If there was a con it was the well water! I wasnt ready for that! Bring yourselves leave your stress behind. The stairs down to the lake are not steep, though there are many... but, the lake was worth it. No mosquitoes. Perfection.."
