Liberty Cabin, 3 blocks from Lake Superior, near Pictured Rocks and trail access

This recently remodeled property is located right in AuTrain only 15 minutes from Pictured Rocks. You'll be able to catch the sunset just with a 5 minute walk to AuTrain Beach and enjoy the river or Lake Superior. This house was stripped down to the studs and completely remodeled top to bottom inside, finished on September 2021. You will find a cozy yet modern interior and plenty of room to enjoy with friends and family with accommodations for up to 8 guests. The kitchen is fully stocked with stainless-steel appliances. You'll find a really nice campfire area in the fenced in yard setup to enjoy the outdoors along with a swing to relax after a long day of exploring. There are 3 bedrooms total, one with (1) King, another one with (1) Queen bunk bed and one with (2) Twin bunk beds. Amenities include a washer/dryer, dishwasher. All bedding, linens, towels, paper towel and toilet paper is supplied. If this place doesn't have it, we will get it for you. There is WiFi, one TV, a large gas grill, and a free canoe/kayak rental is included. (discounts for additional canoe/kayaks is available during the Summer). There is a stall in the garage that is available for your use as well for parking or working on your toys!.

Loved this place!!!
We loved staying here it was clean there was enough space for all 8 of us, close to picture rock, and Marquette two of our favorite places!!! so close to the beach that you can walk there, a nice fire pit to have bonfire, a nice swing, and with a fenced in yard. Definitely would love to come here again in the future!!!

Perfect location between Marquette and Pictured Rocks to do everything outdoors we wanted to do. Short walk or 2 minute drive to some Superior beaches. The comfy, clean house fit perfectly with the Pure Michigan vibe.

Great place to stay
Everyone enjoyed the place! Location was not far from Pictured Rocks, which was our main reason for being in the area. The cabin was perfect for our group of four, but had plenty of room for more. The host was very easy to work with and responded quickly to any messages that I sent him. Would definitely try to rent this place again!

A great base from which to ski the local trails
This was a great place to stay for skiing the cross country trails around Municing. Very clean, comfortable and nicely remodeled. The host was helpful and responsive. It was perfect for a long ski weekend with friends.

The cabin was cozy and clean, with an open floor plan.the showers nice and warm after a day of ATV riding. The only down fall was not enough outdoor lighting in the parking area. A overall enjoyable weekend.

Annual UP Trip
Better than the pictures, nice layout, well stocked but not at all cluttered. Great fenced yard, convenient location for all of our day trips. Kayak rental was a little pricey but it was everyone’s favorite day so was worth it. Loved having the beach/river within walking distance. No complaints from anyone about this home, it ended up being a perfect fit for our family that consisted of 3 adult couples and 2 dogs. Will definitely book another stay.

Great House - Family Get Together
Parents and grand parents stayed at The Liberty house for the weekend to attend an NMU graduation for our son. Being able to come back to the house for a campfire dinner, games and plenty of space in the house to sleep was great. House had everything you could want and very clean. Kayaks for rent across the street as well as wood for sale. Convenience store an another block down and one more block is a little take out restaurant for burgers, pizza and ice cream. Walk across MI28 and you’re on the Lake Superior beach!

Place was as expected. Beds comfy. Showers were hot and water pressure was great. Rain wiped out our firepit use. Fireplace inside made the chilly nights cozy. Clean towels, some cooking utensils, but we ate out dinners each night. Highly recommend Brownstone. We'd stay again.

Nice retreat - lots of room
We were three retired couples and a dog. The location was very convenient to Pictured Rocks destinations and central to both ends of the UP. The house has a fully fenced yard which was very nice for the dog. The house could use some mugs since not everybody is a dainty coffee drinker, and the supply of silverware was sort of slim, too. But everything worked and the kitchen had plenty of pots and pans and such for us.

Au Train family cabin
This cabin worked really well for us. It’s centrally located in a very small town between Marquette and Munising so it was easy to sightsee. It’s also directly across from a beach and the Au Train river. We took advantage of the free kayak rental and the small grocery store right across the street to get hand scooped ice cream and a fresh pasty. Cabin was clean and updated which was perfect for our family of 5. The fenced yard was convenient for the dog and we enjoyed family movie night on the big screen tv that came with Netflix. Communication with owner and property manager was great and they were very responsive and answered all my questions. Price was also reasonable. Thanks for a great place to stay!
