This property is located in the town of AuTrain and is only 15 minutes from Pictured Rocks. Take a 5 minute walk to AuTrain Beach and enjoy the river or Lake Superior, or to just catch the sunset. The AuTrain River empties into the Lake providing early season swimming. This house was stripped down to the studs and completely remodeled top to bottom inside in 2019. Space is plentiful for large groups of families. With accommodations for up to 12, this house is a great place for people to get together and enjoy the area. The property has a 6' privacy fence enclosing the entire back yard. There is a really nice campfire area setup to enjoy the outdoors and relax after a long day of exploring. There are 5 bedrooms with (2) king's, (2) queens and one (1) full bunk. There is a futon in the lower level for additional sleeping. Amenities include a washer/dryer, dishwasher, fully stocked kitchen with equipment to cook for 12 guests. All bedding, linens, towels, paper towel and toilet paper is supplied. If this place doesn't have it, we will get it for you. There is WiFi, three TV's, a large gas grill, and a free canoe/kayak rental is included. (discounts for additional canoe/kayaks is available) The garage is available for your use as well.

Everything was clean and pleasant, but would have been much better to have footstools, or even one large footstool so people can put their feet up after a long day. The beds were very comfortable, also.

Annual Family Getaway
We have stayed at this property and it does not disappoint. Conveniently located for anything you may want to do, hike, golf, enjoy the beach. Highly recommend it.

Da Big House
Great vacation home. Well stocked with appliances, dishes glasses and silverware . House is totally remodeled and very clean. Would recommend this place to anyone. Will return next year

Da Big House Perfection
This is our 3rd or 4th time staying at Cory's "Da Big House" and we will be staying again! This home has everything we need for a sledding trip to the UP. Close to the trails, plenty of parking, nice beds, and space for everyone. Cory is a great communicator and as usual, extremely helpful! Book it!

6 adults and 4 pups- best vacation ever
The property was perfect for 3 adult couples with dogs. The backyard was fantastic with a fenced in yard for the pups to chase each other and spacious enough for yard games. The location is fantastic, just walk 5 minutes down the street right to the beaches. The interior is stunning, don’t let the modest exterior fool you, this place is absolute gem.

XC ski weekend without snow
We actually had a great time in Au Train on a planned ski weekend that was snowless. Great space for 5 adults, two teenagers and two dogs. The location was actually perfect - maybe even more convenient than right on the lakeshore. Cory took care of two minor issues we had immediately. Would stay again without question.

Amazing up north getaway
My wife and I along with some of our friends decided to go up north to see pictured rocks and the fall colors. We wanted a spacious and comfortable place to stay and this place fit our exact wants. It was so spacious comfortable with amazing amenities. The host was welcoming and responded to any inquires. I highly recommend this for anyone looking for a nice home. My friends and I will most definitely rent this property again for future adventures!

We had a great time at Da Big House. We had 11 in our group. It’s a beautiful part of the the country. The house was great, and the Au Train beach was a great way to swim in Lake Superior but with warmer water.

Awesome location
Trails less than 2 blocks away. Fuel across the road. Casino and Foggys are a 10 min away. Can be to the bay to ice fish in 15 min. By far the best place we have stayed in the UP.

The pictures of this cabin do not do it justice. It was so clean, and cozy but with a modern feel. The location is 10/10. We didn’t have enough time during our stay to do everything we wanted to do near this cabin. We will be renting this cabin again!

Our Favorite Stay!
This our 2nd time staying at da Big House... and we will continue to stay yearly! Cory, as usual, was super helpful and there when we needed him. We cooked all meals at the cabin, and the kitchen had everything that we needed. Beds were comfortable and rooms were very clean. Location was right off of Trail 418 with plenty of room for trailer parking. You will not be disappointed!

Snowmobile Trip 2023
This is our second time staying here. We totally love the place! It is an ideal location. Da Big House is perfect for our needs. Gas and store are right across the street. The trail is 200 yards from the house. Cory, the property manager, is very easy to work with. We will be back in the future.

Comfortable House
Nice house, very clean and about 10-15 minutes away from Munising. Didn’t make use of the backyard fire pit during the stay, but it’s a nice amenity. There is a small grocery and a restaurant with pizza, pasties and ice cream just down the road that you can walk to. Walking to the beach on Lake Superior is only a 5 minute walk too. Definitely would consider staying here again on a future trip to the area.

Great when our plans changed
My husband and I were unable to make the trip due to some unexpected health issues--our grown kids decided to take the trip anyway! They loved the house, the location and all the activities! The hosts were great to work with when I had to change our reservation and we are planning on making an even longer reservation for next year!!

Exploration of UP
It was the perfect place to lay our heads. The place was just the right size. The owners were accommodating to our needs. The beds were so comfortable. The separation between bedrooms was ideal. It was nice to bring the pups! The different exits for dogs was nice. The only downsize was it needs a deep cleaning. It was great location and price for where/what we were there to do! Thank you

Da Big House Is paradise
Originally a group of seven were scheduled but only six made it.Let me tell you all I was informed by my group that this house and location to trail #418 is simply perfect.Host was a true professional and the home represented a lot of pride.Spacious and comfy home for all walks of life from snowmobilers to adventures.
