I enjoyed this cabin, the location the little beach and view are great! The bed comfortable. The neighbors are a little close, fireworks were a problem one night. Wish I had my own kayak as the one available at the property was a double and too heavy for me to haul out of storage area by myself. Overall, I would rent here again!
Your home is def cozy and cute but not rustic, I’ve stayed in rustic and it’s not! , it needs some cleaning and updating , cobwebs everywhere including in the cabin , I’m not sure what’s happening with the master bedroom but furniture everywhere and not organized , no light in spare bedroom , you have new and def old old kitchen cabinets in need of repair
You could put something in front of the water tank in the only bathroom so we didn’t have to look at the nasty mess on the floor around it , your outside deck could use power washing we didn’t even want to sit out there , all your furniture is super dirty and your rug I tripped over several times because the edges are so frayed from wear and tear ( Throw it away),… Now would I stay here again , absolutely , the lake makes it all worth it ! We did use the kayak and enjoyed a day on the lake and river , we visited Pictured Rocks and that was AWESOME !
With what you get for renting the place you should pay someone to come do a deep cleaning cuz that girl needs it bad

Run down cabin
The property was very run down. No AC and it was pretty warm in the day. We opened windows and they were full of bugs and spiders so we had to clean that to feel ok with staying. The water smelled terrible like iron or rust. Needed to use bottled water to even brush our teeth and showering left us smelling like the water. We left a day early because it was just not good.
Location was enjoyable with quick access to Lake Superior.
Cleanliness was lacking. Mouse droppings in silverware drawers, bottom cupboards and lower drawer of stove, with the pots and pans. Had to clean the dish drainer with bleach to remove mold. One fork found in all the drawers. Host contacted and property owner sent their daughter over with a handful of extra silverware. Broken screen door handle that had been taped at the break to protect against sharp edges. Not recent damage but not priority for repair. Second bedroom light nonfunctional. Smoke alarm was nonfunctional. Courier delivered a new combination smoke alarm/carbon monoxide alarm. I had to install it. Rustic must mean, "Nothing is required to be repaired or cleaned."
Au Train Lake was very enjoyable and the neighbors friendly.
