"Great owner and staff. Friendly, helpful and pleasant in every way. Nice night life bar area and a great German style breakfast. Arrived too late for an evening meal but based on how busy the eating areas were I would expect the food to be excellent too. A must stay if anywhere in the area. We drove from Colmar and was well worth the drive."

"We stayed here for one night in a triple, which looked just like in the pictures. The room was fairly sparse with three twin beds, a tiny table and three stools, and a wardrobe. We came during the off-season when there were very few people in the hotel, so we had our hallway to ourselves. Each hallway is named after a different European country, with the individual rooms named after major cities, which fits into the theme of the European guesthouse. "It's a family hotel. Don't expect to check in before 5 pm. I had to wait for almost 2 hours and could get the key at about 17:15. Wifi only works downstairs in the restaurant and not in the room. Breakfast was at 9 am and included in my price. The room faces the street and the windows were permanently covered."

Only two minor points: the pillows are low quality and very thin, and the main ceiling light in our room didn't work, even after I asked reception to check it and replace the light bulb if necessary. "The cottage was charming and clean and faced a lovely view. There is a walking trail just out front and it was quiet and peaceful. We ate breakfast on the outside patio every morning. It’s close to amenities and we will definitely return. Highly recommend!"
