"This 8-room B&B was a fine choice for my 4 nights in Sliema, after having been traveling for about a month elsewhere in Greece and Malta. It was an easy 1 minute walk to the promenade, which offered plenty of options for tours, eating, shopping, bus routes, etc. The hotel’s 2 housekeepers/cooks were delightful ladies. "This property was exactly what my son and I were looking for - small hotel to use as a base. Hotel was spotless. Friendly staff, always saying hello. Have to give a huge shout out to Mohammed, always on the desk, was absolutely wonderful from the first meeting. If you needed something you just ask and he will do his best to help. "We had the most wonderful time and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Matias B&B on the beautiful island of Gozo. Breakfast was amazing with fresh local sweets and bread in addition to cooked to order. "Lovely clean apartment, well equiped for self catering. We did book breakfast but the buffet restaurant closed due to being out of season. However the staff brought breakfast to order every morning to our room, which was lovely. I asked for an extra blanket (before we worked the heating out) which was delivered promptly.
