This was our first stay at the Hamilton, planned because it has been highly rated, even though it is expensive in the Alpharetta area. We were most displeased overall, particularly in view of the cost. The valet parking is extremely inconvenient. You have to drive around the block to find it, it can't be charged to the room, and they left our keys in the car when it was parked for the night (at least 2 of the nights we stayed). There is no ice machine available on the floor, but you can order it from housekeeping (presumably with a tip). There is no coffee available in the morning in the lobby, unless you sit at a table and pay for it and service. (There was a coffee maker in the room. As far as the room goes, the closet is tiny and the bathroom light has to have the "master switch" for the room on in order to turn it on. You have to turn on the light as you enter the bathroom. That means it is impossible to keep the room dark during the night if you use the bathroom. We did appreciate daily housekeeping service. People were friendly. We have cancelled the other reservation we had made for the upcoming holidays at the Hamilton. When we checked out, I asked for a copy of my bill to be sure I wasn't double-charged for the valet parking ($42.50/night). All I got was a sheet showing a zero balance, with no itemization of our charges and the total cost of the stay. The desk clerk assured me that we hadn't been charged for the parking through the hotel. Disappointed
