"This is my first trip to Athens. The location of this hotel is fantastic - after a day of figuring things out, I was able to walk to all the sights, squares and eateries easily. Panos explained the map well. The central market is just across the road along w shops and cafes, restaurants so really accessible. The breakfast setup may look compact but the spread is ample. Fresh and delicious. My flight arrived at an odd hour but Constantine was most helpful to assist to store my suitcases as well as gave me an area to sit and rest ( fully occupied so no room available) The rooftop is a bonus with a view. Highly recommended - it’s comfortable, safe and nicely designed. "

"THE ATHENS GATE HOTEL WAS THE MOST AMAZING PLACE TO STAY IN ATHENS! IT WAS CONVENIENT TO THE PLAKA FOR SHOPPING AND TO THE ACROPOLIS AS WELL AS THE MEETING PLACES FOR TOURS WHICH WE HAD BOOKED. THE RESTAURANT ON THE ROOFTOP WAS NOT ONLY DELICIOUS FOR BREAKFAST AND DINNER BUT THE VIEW OF THE ACROPOLIS AND THE PARTHENON WAS AMAZING BOTH DURING THE DAY AND ESPECIALLY AT NIGHT. THE STAFF WAS VERY ACCOMODATING WITH DIRECTIONS AND WITH SECURING A VAN FOR ALL OF OUR LUGGAGE TO TAKE US TO THE AIRPORT AT THE COCCLUSION OF OUR STAY. WE WILL CERTAINLY RECOMMEND THE ATHENS GATE HOTEL TO FAMILY AND FRIENDS!"

"Hotel is in a great location with amazing views of Acropolis that you can enjoy while having breakfast or dinner. Breakfast is served buffet style and it is a really good spread with lots of options available! The staff was very attentive and helpful. Location is also really good as you can walk to many attractions, shopping, and dining. Definitely would stay there again! "

"This could easily be considered a 5 star hotel. The lobby area was GRAND, with plenty of quiet eating. The rooms were very nicely appointed, and plenty of features, like in-room luxury coffee machine. We could see the frigging Acropolis from our balcony, which was just awesome! Refreshing HOT breakfast was included, which was very nice. Rooms were very nice and clean. The only pet peeve we had was that the shower area had only a partial door, so had to stand ion one place to shower, else water would come out. the second one was the very weird sink they had. Not sure if this is a Greek thing, but besides these minor annoying things, the experience was easy 5 star. If you stay in Athens, make this your first choice"
