Great Boutique hotel- totally updated - near everything. Staff was so helpful with restaurant and site seeing recommendations. Shopping close by - easy walk to Acropolis and great cafes and restaurants. Would go back!!!

What an amazing stay! The hotel is brand new and perfect! All the staff were very helpful and did everything possible to make sure you had an amazing time. The manager was delightful! Incredible location.. everything is close and walkable!

Every single person that works here was very helpful, kind and hospitable. It was like making a friend not just someone doing a job. Very clean and comfortable property. The hotel is situated in a lovely scenic spot where the back of the acropolis can be seen. Walking distance to and from the centre is great. Staff went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. Hopefully this place is completed soon so that breakfast, dinner etc can be enjoyed on site. Will definitely recommend

Fantastic experience from start to finish. The rooms were spacious, modern, and immaculately clean. What truly made our stay memorable was the manager on site. Not only was she attentive and welcoming, but she went above and beyond to show us around, ensuring we knew all the amenities and highlights of the room. Highly recommend!

My wife and I stayed at Esse hotel in the Plaka neighborhood for 3 days/2nights during the 1st part of our trip to Greece. It is a small hotel with a small lobby and tiny elevator but the service here is tremendous! If you are looking for a boutique hotel experience, this will not disappoint. The room itself is not big but it is well designed with luxurious features and thoughtful touches. Everything worked perfectly from the motorized blinds to excellent hot water and strong water pressure. Our room had a nice private balcony with an adjustable heat hot tub that is kept warm and has terrific view of the Acropolis. The neighborhood is very walkable to nearby attractions and their included breakfast is at an amazing restaurant around the corner. Highly recommend Esse for great accommodations in Athens.

The location of the hotel is fantastic. The hotel itself has been only open for a short period of time. The room and the bathroom updated and modern. Fay the hotel manager and staff were incredibly helpful and helping us make accommodations for future travel. She was very attentive and went over beyond in service. I would highly recommend this hotel and we will come back!

The staff was amazingly and very helpful. Love Faye she is awesome! It’s a rather new hotel so everything was shiny and new. Looking forward to a return visit to Athens and we will be booking at this hotel again. Perfect location as it it within walking distance to many places for sightseeing and shopping!

ESSE is Essential in Athens!
Hotel and staff are 5stars! Fay is an INCREDIBLE Manager amd Hostess and made sure we were having the best time and that our travel arrangement for ferries were executed to perfection. The rooms are clean, comfortable and modern (brand new) but the staff exceeded all expectations! Location is perfection in Plaka! 5⭐️

Amazing. Stayed here Sept, 2024. Great location, walking distance to Acropolis and other monuments. Friendly staff, best customer service, went extra miles to make sure everything went well, even got breakfast at night since we were leaving early next morning. Included great breakfast at restaurant next door. Well kept rooms. Unique shower stall with 2 sets of showers & a electrically heated towel warmer.

The Esse has only been open for a couple of weeks and as such does not yet have a restaurant or bar. They still need to do some modifications so the shower doesn’t leak water unto the bathroom floor. The staff was friendly and helpful. The property is well located in the Plaka so there are plenty of shops and restaurants all around. Would definitely stay again.

A new gem!
I have never stayed at a property where the staff was so kind and totally focsed on service. From the manager, front desk staff, to housekeeping they are happy to make every effort to make your stay enjoyable. The hotel is new so the signage wasn't up yet but it was still easy to find. It is in pristine condition and the location couldn't be better. It is under 7 minutes walk to the Acropolois, Roman Agora, Hadrians Library, and the Metro. Do yourself a favor and add in the breakfast. Delicious and generous. I highly recommend Esse!
