Snake River Butte-Perfect Family Retreat

Snake River Butte Lodge is minutes away from the world famous Henry's Fork of the Snake River with stunning views of the Teton Mountain Range. This cozy cabin is a perfect getaway for families and group retreats. Located 15 minutes from Mesa Falls and an hour from West Yellowstone, there are year round activities for everyone. Jackson Hole, Wyoming is an hour and a half drive from the cabin and West Yellowstone is a scenic one hour drive. The Snake River Butte Cabin is the perfect hub for touring Yellowstone National Park, Grand Teton National Park and Jackson Hole Wyoming.

Activities near the cabin include:
* Fly fishing on the world-famous Henry's Fork of the Snake River is minutes from the cabin.
*Snowmobiling right from the cabin. The cabin is a few miles from the Targhee National Forest.
*Mountain biking on nearby trails in the forest on Marysville Hill road and Hale Canyon. Mountain biking on the old Railroad Trail along the Warm River starting at Bear Gulch.
*Feeding the fish at the Fish Observation Platform at Warm River on Highway 47 just below the cabin.
*Viewing the spectacular Upper and Lower Mesa Falls 10 miles from the cabin along Highway 47 Scenic Byway.
*Kayaking and floating the Henry's Fork in the summer months. Kayaks and boats are available to rent in nearby Ashton.

This house is so beautiful and serene. Set far off the road, surrounded by rolling green fields with the Tetons visible in the distance, we loved the tranquility! A bit of a drive to and from Yellowstone, the house provided everything we needed for relaxation!

Quiet & Comfortable
Excellent property did not disappoint as the listing was spot and our expectations were exceeded. New, clean and fully stocked with plenty of space. We visited Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks during our stay. It’s about an hour to West Yellowstone and 2 hours to Jackson Hole.

We had a wonderful stay! The scenery was gorgeous and close to so many fun adventures. The house had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. We really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub after long days of exploring.

Idaho retreat
A beautiful house, very spacious and well stocked. Plenty of room for 6 adults and 6 boys. We had a few issues, but the owners answered quickly and addressed our issues. This house has great a good view of the Tetons and great stargazing. If you find yourself in Idaho, this is a great place to stay.

Beautiful and perfect location
This home was perfect for our family vacation of 14. It was clean, peaceful and the views were amazing! It was perfectly located for all the activities that we had planned on our vacation. Elise and Royce are very easy to contact and very helpful before and during our stay. I would highly recommend this rental to anyone who is interested in visiting Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons.

We used this as a homebase for a group of 11 to travel to see Yellowstone and Grand Tetons. It's a little bit of a drive to both locations, but a beautiful spot, peaceful, and well worth it. We enjoyed our stay.

Great family retreat
We had a great time. Accommodations were great. The cabin is set up with everything you need to cook and relax. The heated garage for a game room was a fun option. We snowmobiled for two days. Unfortunately you do have to trailer to the trail head if you want to go to Mesa Falls. It’s only about 20 minutes away so it’s worth the drive. We also met the neighbor when we unloaded the snowmobiles. He was nice enough, just flexing a bit as the full timers often do when renters show up. The forest service property is only about two minutes away, and it was great for all ages and proficiency of riders. The hosts were extremely kind and nice to work with. I would recommend this property to everyone.

Our trip was an amazing experience. The cabin was perfect we had 16 people from infants to adults. Everyone had their own space we were able to eat as a family every night. The only downfall we had was that we couldn't riwe couldn't ride from the property to Mesa falls. We also had a neighbor complain about our kids riding in the field.

Perfect time for Fall Leaves
The cabin is great. The view is even better. The fall colors and the Tetons are spectacular. I hope to book fall again at this place. It was a perfect get away in a great place that was ready to support a family like mine. My older kids had a great time with the game room. And I love the hot tub with a view.

Good Experience!
Great place to stay! Clean, well furnished with beds, appliances, extra frig, game room. Beautiful area to bike, ride 4 wheelers, fish and float! We had a fun time and hope to stay again!

The cabin was beautiful, clean and way comfortable! The views are gorgeous!
We had a wonderful experience staying at this beautiful cabin. It was so clean it still had that new cabin smell. We loved the comfy downstairs family room and the hot tub. The view from the wrap around desk and family room were gorgeous. There are tons of fun activities near by. We loved everything about it and would stay there again in a heartbeat!

We stayed at this house with a group of 17 family members (8 kids and 9 adults) during the summer of 2021. The first thing you need to know is that this cabin had extra beds available! Everyone slept comfortably which was nice since we had two babies and two grandparents with us. There was enough space for the children to play and for the adults to hang out. The kitchen was stocked with everything you could possibly need for cooking, baking or grilling. We also enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the beautiful scenery. The second thing is that the location is amazing. The closest cabin was up the hill and we never saw the neighbors or heard them! No one bothered us. We got what we paid for. Freedom and privacy. The outstanding views of the landscape are hard to accurately describe with words! Just gorgeous!! The day we arrived a momma moose and its calf roamed around the house as if they were welcoming us to their territory. Red foxes and deer could also be spotted nearby. The strategic location of the house allowed us to visit Yellowstone two different days and see most of the park. The Mesa Falls are within a 20 minute drive! You cannot miss this beautiful place!! Other activities we enjoyed in the area were horse back riding and the Warm River. I could go on and on about location, but I should mention something that is often times overlooked: the details, the little things like the fact that there were plenty of towels in the restrooms, additional towels for the hot tub, toys in the playroom and nice, fluffy pillows!!!! These things may seem insignificant for most people, but they sure made a difference for us!! We highly recommend this place for your next vacation. You will enjoy it!! We can’t wait to go back!!!

A Little Bit of Heaven in the Hills
Location, location, location! What a beautiful cabin situated in a stunning spot! It felt like we had miles and miles to ourselves...our own private meadow surrounded by trees. Every direction you look is spectacular, but my favorite view was of the Tetons...wow! I enjoyed all of the rustic, pretty details inside. The kitchen was well stocked with anything and everything we could have possibly needed. We slept so well on the soft, fluffy pillows, listening to the quiet sounds of the outdoors. The hot tub was extra relaxing while watching the sun set and the stars rise. Such a great getaway! Next time we want to bring the kids!
