"We had a wonderful stay at the Old Priory. The room is so spacious and luxurious. Robin is such a kind, knowledgeable host. He so looked after us. I loved a delicious cooked breakfast each morning. The Old Priory is two minutes walk from Kelso's Main Square. The house has a beautiful back garden "

Tushielaw Inn
3.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (9)
"I recently stayed at a lovely Inn nestled under the hills and was thoroughly impressed. The hospitality was outstanding, and the accommodation was spotless. What sets this place apart is the affordability of both drinks and food – a refreshing change from other recent stays. I particularly appreciated the thoughtful touch of a dram of whisky in a glass canister in the room. The owner's warm welcome made us feel right at home. As a pet-friendly establishment, it was the perfect choice for our...

"Our team had a very enjoyable stay whilst working nearby. The host was a fountain of knowledge who could not have done more for us. One of the party was injured and our host went above and beyond to ensure he was comfortable. Breakfast was delicious with the additions from the local bakery and butcher, as well as home made jams and marmalade. Thanks again from all at SWS "

"The owners went out of there way to make you feel welcome and the facilities were the best value for money we obtained whilst walking the Border Abbeys Way. Janet even offered to drive us into Kelso rather than having to get a taxi which, I feel, is above and beyond the call of duty."

"Old Kirkstead is a really nice spot which was enjoyed by kids and parents alike. We'd never been to this part of Scotland before but we'll be back for longer in the summer having only had three nights this time round. Hilary (the host) couldn't have been more helpful after we managed to completely mess up the booking too!"

"The Stables Cottage includes a foyer, eat-in kitchen, sitting room, and bathroom with tub and shower downstairs. The two bedrooms were upstairs plus a bathroom with shower only. We loved every minute. The kitchen had an apartment size/dorm-size refrigerator, double oven with 4-burner stove top, small sink with spigot and dish-drying rack, dishwasher, and washing machine. Plenty of pots, pans, skillets, plates and cups were available. An electric kettle and toaster were also there. Bedrooms had...
