The cabin was rustic yet had tv and WiFi which was great. The location was perfect for visiting the national park. We also appreciated the coffee since we had not thought to bring any.
This cabin is super cute, and part of a set of cabins managed on the same property all together. It was easy to check-in and very convenient to access the park entrance from this side of the national park. It could use some small upgrades in older appliances, but everything worked and overall we had a great stay! If you plan to stay here, be sure to do your groceries and get a full tank of gas lower down, because the little shops up in Ashford can be expensive!

2 day stay August 2024 Cedar Cabin
It’s an old, cramped cabin. A few fix ups to the shower doors, the medicine cabinet and cobweb removal would really help.
peaceful and quiet forest setting. We had stayed in this cabin years ago (had previous owners) and cabin is still maintained well with one exception: the overhead lights in kitchen did not work, nor did hood light on range. We had to use a flashlight to see settings on microwave and toaster.

comfortable and well stocked kitchen
Very rustic but adequate...uneven floors and cobwebs on the patio.
We very much enjoyed staying so close to Rainier!!! We stayed during a heat wave and we reached out to the property manager to have a second fan and within the end of the day a fan was found for us!! The cabin was exactly as described and had everything needed to cook and relax after a day in the National Park. We would definitely stay there again.

Can't get closer to the park!
This cabin is a little bit rustic, but you can't beat the location. We arrived at night and it was a bit hard to find our cabin on the property, but we got there eventually.

Enjoyed our stay except for internet access was very poor. This should be noted in the property description and the host should provide an alternate means of entertainment such as a dvd player. Very frustrating trying to relax in the evening while watching the buffering constantly.

Needs Improvement
The cabin is rustic, but unfortunately in need of repairs and pest control. Two of the three internal doors don’t latch when closed, so if anyone opens a door, the bathroom door will as well, which leads to some awkward moments when you’re doing your business. One of the “clean” towels on the rack smelled strongly of windex when I used it to wipe my face, and it left that cleaner smell on my skin until I washed it again.
Then? There were the mice.
Three mice of different sizes emerged after we lit a fire in the fireplace on our second night. That was concerning. Also? For as high as the cleaning fees are, the place was not very clean. Dusty, cobwebby, thick layer of grime on the top ledge of the bathroom cabinets, etc.
Lastly, signage on the counter suggested that the water might not be safe to drink, so we hauled in our own water.
For as much as we paid on our trip, we honestly expected better than this.
