Our stay was great! Summer was so welcoming and attentive. We went during new years weekend and it was the prefect little getaway. Would highly recommend

We loved the Chalet House at Alexander's Lodge.
We booked a room here for our anniversary, and were "bumped" by a wedding party to the Chalet House. More room than we needed, but it is very charming. Although it is next to the main road, it is so well insulated, you can't hear traffic. There's everything you could need for an extended stay...kitchen, three bedrooms, washer/dryer, board games, music, TV. Everything was clean and tidy. Good heating system, which kept us warm. Even though we arrived earlier than the checkout time, the staff made the extra effort to get the Chalet ready for us early. Before we even arrived, every e-mail question I sent was answered promptly. They told us of a nearby bar and grill (The Highlander in Ashford), where we'd be able to watch the Apple Cup while we were waiting for our room. We were very happy with our experience, and will definitely recommend Alexander's Lodge to our friends or relatives.
We stayed at Alexander's Lodge 4 years ago and had a pleasant experience. This time was not at all the same. No staff on site to greet us. Our 'Check-in' at 4pm consisted of grabbing an envelope with a key & sheet of paper in it off the locked front door. The room was the same as 4 years prior - except more rundown - peeling wallpaper, chipped paint, etc. The toilet was blocked on arrival & constantly needed plunging. Luckily we quickly noticed that the box breakfast had to be ordered via email by 5 pm to ensure delivery next morning. However for some reason our email, even though receipt acknowledged, did not get us a breakfast until a made a call to the offsite 'night manager' a half hour after it was supposed to be delivered. Overall the experience would not have motivated me to write such a negative review had there been any attempt at personal communication or service.
In Covid precautions this property was excellent. But furnishings were old, not quaint, out dated. Threadbare carpets, chipped and stained furniture. Uncomfortable rooms lacked bedside tables, fluffy towels, robes or any of the little things that make your stay pleasant.
Fantastic location only a mile from them Nisqually entrance! The property is old but beautiful and the room we stayed in was clean and had a very comfortable mattress. The room was small but had enough space for carry on size bags and backpacks. We’d definitely stay again!
Complimentary breakfast was delivered daily to our door. DVDs and board games in a shared parlor area with DVD player in each room. Vending machines and ice cream for purchase. Beautiful little property with a pond and chairs for enjoying the scenery. Only about a mile out of the park. Would recommend.

Close to Mt Rainier
The old hotel has character. And def all one would need if your main purpose is to hike Mt Rainier. Pretty grounds (pond) and a salon to hang out with plenty of games.
We really enjoyed our stay. The place was really cute. Pics do not do it justice. When we were there, they lost power, along with other towns, and because all card machines were down, we drove all the way to Eatonville to eat dinner. A little out of the way. Never leave home without cash. And, due to COVID-19, they were unable to provide their regular breakfast. VRBO did not have that part listed. I was able to find that on the Inn’s website so we were not surprised. We just went down the road and had breakfast. They did provide pre-packaged items. We loved this place. The grounds were awesome, great places to just sit and enjoy. Very close to Mt Rainier. We will come back.
We love the different quirky kind of places. This was wonderful and had great perks too. The breakfast was great and the staff was friendly... I'll definitely stay again

small and cozy
The room was small but very comfortable. The buffet breakfast was good! WiFi was advertised but you had to have a password that wasn't offered and we had to ask about he breakfast. Nice lady at front desk but seemed a bit scattered. I would probably stay again as is comfortable and enjoyable and the price was right

Pleasant stay
Everything was perfect from the moment we walked in to check in, we arrived a few hours early for our designated check in time and the front desk associate was quick to check us in without any kind of hesitation. Showed us around and to our surprise he also informed us that there will be breakfast served in the morning. Our room exceeded our expectations it was very spacious and well maintained. Can't wait to visit Mt. Rainier again we will definitely stay at Alexander's Lodge and Restaurant again.

Peaceful
We had a very pleasant stay in our cozy suite. The room had very nice views from all windows. The living area was comfortable, with a nice porch overlooking the meadow. The bedroom was really nice, and the bed was comfy. The jacuzzi was relaxing and the view from the jacuzzi was picturesque! We woke up to snow the last day, and just could not have been more pleased.
