"We had an excellent stay ! The staff is kind and helpful. From what I understand the hotel has been recently redone. The bathrooms and the water pressure could use some work. I definitely recommend this hotel, you will enjoy your stay. Breakfast is better than in most 5 star hotels. Antipasti are served from Wednesday to Saturday on Patio. There again a very nice selection."

"Good location hotel, walkable distance from Ancona old town and lake. Nice pickup and drop of with hotel bus (from and to Locarno train station. Staff was overwhelmed with a series of group booking, confusion was evident but no improvement. My room was a small but with a view, AC not working and none of the staff knew how to fix it. Breakfast on the terrace overlooking the lake and pool was a nice setting but staff again overwhelmed with groups."

"The hotel is perched on top of Ascona and isn’t in the old town but is about 10 mins walk down to the centre. There is limited hotel parking to call ahead to reserve it or else pay about 20 CHF per day at an offsite location which was a nuisance. This hotel has the ability to be nice provided it is EXTENSIVELY renovated. It is very dated but not in a charming way, it looks very tired.
