This property is very old and so are the furnishings inside of it. The couch in my room was ripped in multiple locations and the carpeting was so dirty in places that it looked dark brown or black, when it was actually beige. I tried to cancel the reservation because I did not want to stay there with the existing conditions but the manager there (I was told his name was Chen) refused to allow early checkout or any type of refund for the gross conditions. I ended up leaving the property and finding a new hotel (Ramada) even though I had already paid for the nasty one. Thankfully, Expedia is much more hospitable and was able to offer a OneCash credit to help offset some of the costs. We will never go to this hotel again!
Hotel is old, carpet in my room looks like haven’t done dip cleaning in decades.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Property conditions & facilities
The property was quite old and run down but the staff was very friendly and helpful. Also the resin I gave it 4 stars instead of 3 stars is that the price is not bad, and I believe most hotels in the area are similar. The onsen is good but also other hotels have them as well. I guess this is one of the most famous ones.
Hotel wasn’t very clean and a little run down. Carpets in the room was stained, dirty ( haven’t been vacuumed for days/weeks), needing stretching, and really needing to be replaced. Door to the bathroom was rotting away from the bottom and the bathtub was damaged. We booked for two nights but left after one. Staff was nice for the couple of them we seen. Would not recommend until some upgrades are done.
The saunas were advertised as 24 hours, but closed at 8 PM. The room had very damp air, and the carpet was dirty and unclean. There were black spots that resembled mold on the carpet, and it was hard to tell if it was part of the design or if it was from the lack of cleaning. The hotel in general was never renovated and had a foul odor.
Very disappointed. It seems like the hotel gave up on maintenance or keeping their business running. Shops, restaurants, and even room services are closed. The main reason to choose this city to visit and choose this hotel was for the hot springs. The hotel hot spring facilities close every Tuesday which hasnt been displayed clearly at the time when i book this hotel. They charge seperate fees for admissions. The hot spring last admission closes at 7:30 pm and they start cleaning even though their sign says the last admission is 8:30 pm. I regert to choose this hotel to stay and definitely want to warn people to avoid this hotel. I would say this was the worst hotel i ever stayed. And their carpet is absolutely disgusting and dirty. The front desk clerk (lady) can improve the customer service mannerism.
The amenities are outdated and the hot springs were disappointing. There was an extra fee to use the hot spring as well as the gym despite being a guest. Would not recommend this accommodation.
Never try this hotel, especially for breakfast. It really terrible one. They advertised that the former five-star hotel chef prepared the breakfast, but it was a shame on the chef.
The staff never greeted the customers when they met in the hallway. The facility is very old and looks like they never take care of it properly.
