Take a nice stroll along the beach promenade and stop in one of the specialty restaurants. Arromanches with its extensive sandy beach, picturesquely framed by high cliffs, is particularly scenic. Historically, its geographic location on the beaches of the ally Landings Utah Beach and Sword has made the place famous worldwide. Activities nearby: The beautiful town of Bayeux, famous for its cathedral, porcelain and lace museums and very well-preserved tapestries, is a must for an excursion. Along the river l'Aure, you can follow in the footsteps of the craftsmen who made Bayeux flourish in the Middle Ages. There is a wonderful market here on Wednesdays and Saturdays.
