We appreciated that this property had a dog-friendly option, but the room was dark without turning on the lights and was not very sound-proof as there was noise from the car park and busy road outside. The bed was small and bouncy (expect partner disturbance if one is getting in or out of the bed). It is walkable to the nearby shops and restaurants and adequate for an overnight stopover. However, I wouldn’t be staying more than a night.

Convenient location within walking distance of supermarkets and other shops. The freezer was only an icebox. It would have been more convenient having a proper freezer.

Unfortunately I was only able to get a total of 3 hours sleep over the 2 x night stay at this motel due to the simple fact that the bed was completely uncomfortable and hard. I spoke with several colleagues who also stayed there and they experienced the same. When raised with the manager no satisfactory response. There are other motels nearby where I have stayed before so I won’t ever be back to this establishment

A bit below elite but very good
The Elite Motor Inn is in an excellent location being within easy walking distance to Armidale's CBD. On arrival, met by a friendly receptionist and the check in process was easy. Externally, the motel looked to be quite modern and well maintained. The allocated room (7) was clean and quite spacious with a large double bed and a sofa. Also included was a table with 2 chairs and a desk. The bed covers looked a little dated by the design/pattern/colour and the TV was adequate and worked as it should. The Air Con unit looked to be a bit dated and it would have been appreciated if it had been turned on prior to our arrival. The outside temperature was hovering around the single digit range with an icy wind blowing. The bathroom was on the smallish side and dated in set out and appearance and could probably do with an update. A stand out feature was the free wifi, which was quite fast and easy to connect to. We had to travel to Armidale for medical treatment. Would we stay at the Elite Motor Inn in the future? Definitely yes. It would appeal to the travelling business person - areas to work within the room with good free internet and within easy walking distance to pubs, bowling club and restaurants. On-site parking is also another welcome feature. The tariff is budget friendly adding to its appeal.

Great location for short walk to shopping, restaurants and bars. The bathroom is a little tired and iron/ironing board needs updating, however overall nice and clean and good price point for what you get.
