"Quinta Trás o Rio is a large house, set in the hills outside the coastal town of Viia Praia de Âncora. It has six bedrooms, a swimming pool, large garden and ample parking. Its location in the hills ensures cooling breezes for a comfortable temperature in Summer. Porto airport is 50 minutes away. The house itself is stone built and rather rambling once inside. There are numerous stairs both inside and out. My ten year old grandson christened it : The House of Stairs. Families with toddlers...

"We had the most amazing time, the property is stunning and the views are magnificent. The owners are super friendly and always available for information on the area and to provide their own wine and produce which is superb, nothing was to much trouble.We all enjoyed the pool especially our children that were in it from the moment they got up until bed. "We had a lovely stay at the house. We were a group of 9 adults and 5 children and there was plenty of room for all of us. Having our own bathrooms was fantastic. We loved the outside areas, particularly the pool and the barbecue. The hosts were lovely and helpful and made us a delicious pudding one night!
