Well located, quiet and value for money

The hotel is very well located, very close to both railway station, central part of Åre and not the least the ski-lifts. Worth knowing is that all rooms have windows towards the corridor and "lounch-area". The windows have curtains, but since the corridor / "lounch-area" is light-up 24 hours, it did not get completely dark in the room. However very quiet in the hotel. Breakfast is simple and did not live up to our expectations.

Vandrarhem, inte hotell.

Läget är bra precis vid Åre torg, men det är svårt att hitta ingången, ont om parkering och lite information att hitta om vistelsen på hemsidan. Själva hotellet verkar vara ett ombyggt kontor med mycket små rum <9 m2, inga fönster förutom ett ut till umgängesytorna. Badrummet är litet men ok och frukosten väldigt basic. För priset (1.480kr) hade vi förväntat mer vilket nog är problemet. Med en annan prissättning (7-800kr) hade vistelsen känts klart mer prisvärd. Nu checkade vi ut efter en natt och flyttade till Holiday Club istället. Samma pris, tre gånger större rum och helt andra faciliteter. In short, Åre Torg Hotel är ett vandrarhem och skulle tjäna på att prissätta därefter.

Enkelt hotell med stängd reception redan 16:30. På rummet en lista med regler. Skulle man råka glömma nyckeln på rummet var exempelvis ”serviceavgiften” 50% MER än vad hela rummet kostade för en natt. Mer fokus på pekpinnar än välkomnande. I övrigt helt ok. Frukost med bra service.

Hade varit ett bra vandrarhem, nu trist hotell.

Hotellet är ett f d vandrarhem, men vi hade nog känt att vi fått mer valuta för pengarna om det fortfarande kallades vandrarhem.. Det finns fina lounger att hänga i men rummen känns som omgjorda kontor. Väldigt små med fönster mot lounge, och jättesmå superkalla badrum. Även rummet var kallt, och då får man starta elementet själv (30 min i taget). Det finns ett skidförråd men det är olåst utåt så Man vill inte lämna sina grejer där. Torkrummet funkade först inte men kom igång under resan. Frukosten var extremt basic med billig utblandad juice. Den skulle serveras 07:30 så man skulle kunna hinna upp tidigt i backen men vi fick höra att det var få gäster och därför serverades den 08? Det som räddar hotellet är personalen. Så trevliga och tillmötesgående! Vi bokade via hotels.com då vi inte kände till så många hotell i Åre och detta låg bra till. Välj inte om du gillar fönster med utsikt, en fin frukost och varma badrum..
