"If you have not gone to Monemvasia before, choosing Ardamis as your lodging is a WONDERFUL option. We were extremely comfortable as a family of four; the parents had their own room across the facility from the kids. The location is central with everything in short walking distance. The staff are kind and inviting and they even included mutliple water bottles and cans of Coca-Cola to welcome us. And, of course, Monemvasia itself is a once-in-a-lifetime destination... watching the sunset from the cobblestone streets or from the cool ruins atop the island are memories we will never forget. We loved our stay and would gladly go again. Thank you!"

"Amazing location, unique rooms with historic charm. We stayed in an apartment style room located in the lower areas of Monemvasia, below the Stellaki Mansion. The best way to describe the room is - fancy wine cellar. We had access to an upper level courtyard which was very pretty with potted plants and seating, however no sea views from our room or courtyard. Though we grew to love the room I was originally disappointed to not have a sea view. This was probably an error made on my end. Based on photos of the rooms when booking I wrongly assumed that all the rooms had sea views/terraces. So if having a sea view is important to you make sure to read the room descriptions closely when booking. Even though we didn’t have the view in our room it really wasn’t a big deal and we were out exploring most of the time anyways! The staff was very friendly and the included breakfast was excellent and served in a beautiful building with outdoor terraces with garden and sea views. Overall we had an amazing experience and would highly recommend staying in any of the rooms available! Note: all of Monemvasia is walking only with very uneven stone streets and lots of stairs, consider that when packing bags. I would recommend backpack style carry-on size/overnight bags vs rolling suitcases; and definitely no heavy large bags. "

"Situated almost immediately by the bridge to the island, AKTAION Hotel was quite comfortable, and well positioned for restaurants. My room was one of the smaller ones, but it’s balcony faced the island and the sea. I would most happily stay there again if the opportunity occurs. "
