"I really enjoyed my stay at Kutumbaya. The staff were really friendly and helped organise a safari and tour of the ancient ruins for me. The food was great, particularly the Sri Lankan breakfasts. The WiFi and air con were good and I even found some Premiership football on the TV. I’d definitely stay here again!"

"The property is a newly built house, great design, very ill maintained. Smelly blankets, no bedsheet between the blanket and your body. Uncleaned rags in front of the bathroom. No tea-coffee and hot water kettle in the room, no water bottle in the room. I paid $43 for my stay, seems there are better options nearby at half the price."

"Even though we booked this 9 months in advance there were no rooms ready, not because they were busy they just weren't ready. We had to wait an hour for a room to be cleaned. "Cheap but a shambles. Poor service, most service have very poor English (one young guy is best for organising everything). Cold water in shower, lots of mosquitos and bugs. Restaurant has good food but lots of mosquitos - a few other restaurants in area and easy to get around on a bicycle."

"Part of this hotel is under renovation. Improvements are being made but the service is excellent as provided by Dilan, the owner. This hotel has a huge lake right behind it and it is sanctuary to wild life. Very quiet and peaceful. I strongly recommend it."
