"The bed and breakfast accommodation was very nice, clean tidy and well presented. Had a meal in the main pub which was also very nice. Breakfast (cooked English) was served which again was freshly prepared and a choice of cereals was also available."

"the room was not warm enough and although mentioned to the staff, it was some time before the heating was sufficient. The tea maker was in a cupboard on the floor. This is the first time I have encountered this in a hotel, This was not easy to make the first cup of tea in the morning. Having mentioned these two points, the staff we met were very helpful and pleasant. "My wife, daughter and I stayed at The Wheatsheaf combining a work trip with some family time. We felt very well looked after at The Wheatsheaf; the staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. The room was a really good size for the three for us and we were all very comfortable. It is also a fantastic location for exploring the Yorkshire Dales and Lakes, with the beautiful Ingleton waterfall trail right on the doorstep. Thank you to the team! We hope we get to come back!"

"This is the second time we've stayed at the Mason Freehouse, it was lovely the first time we stayed, which made us keen to return. Although it is now under new management, it's clear that the lovely, friendly, warm welcoming atmosphere is something the staff are keen to retain. "Really enjoyed our stay. Only negative was that the dinner menu was the same each night. The staff were very friendly and polite. A very dog friendly hotel too - you had the option to have meals in a nice room with your dog - this isn’t the case in some dog friendly hotels. Would stay again."

"The radiator in the room didn't work. I went to see the staff, and the boiler wasn't switched on, which is very strange for January !!. The boiler was on but the radiator didn't work on either day of my visit. 2 heaters were provided, but the person in charge wasn't aware of the issue with the boiler/radiator, which was poor in my view."

"Lovely little private and secluded cottage with pretty well maintained gardens, perfect for a few days away. Super clean and well equipped with everything needed for our stay. Great communication from owners, checkin and key access was a breeze. Bathroom was functional but is compact."
