Hotel is centrally located and has parking right in front of the hotel for free for an hour or there is a parking lot a block away that costs about 4 CHF for a day using the EasyPark app which for some reason was about half the cost of paying at the machine.

The Appenzell area is a gorgeous rural area with phenomenal scenery. The hotel and town are traditional Swiss architecture with a very welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and the rooms comfortable. This was our favorite area in Switzerland 🇨🇭.

This property is advertised as ‘Romantic’, but just needs a major upgrade. I travel a lot including this region and the hotel is in poor condition but well maintained. Either upgrade or put it as a 2 Star hotel

Excellent Hotel Great Location
Beautiful hotel in the pretty village of Appenzell. Very good food in restaurant and the location near to Zurich and next to the Alps is excellent. Rooms are clean and well maintained though the decor is a little dated. Great location for touring and sightseeing.

Our favorite hotel in Switzerland! The room was spacious and comfortable with a sitting are and large bathroom. (Funky frosted glass made privacy questionable but it worked.). Everyone was so nice and helpful! The breakfast omelet was fluffy and tasty! We highly recommend this hotel if you are in area.
