This home is beautiful and stays coolish in the August heat with a beautiful breeze. The air conditioning is in the bedrooms below, but not in the main living space. The air conditioning was broken for our stay, which was a bummer. The property manager brought fans for us and we did not suffer with the heat too much. Like most homes in Crete, there are no screens on the windows, so we had to make a choice at night to either fight the bugs or have a breeze.
The home has nice amenities - pool toys, grill, lots of cleaners, iron and board, hanging rack, beach umbrella and towels, vacuum, dvds, games, etc. The porch furniture is nice, and the sofas are very comfy. The beds, like all the Cretian beds we experienced in our 3 week stay, are hard, but there are a lot of pillows.
The villa had an ant problem while we were there. They were a nuisance. And, we found a few scorpions. (and a cute hedgehog out side in the yard) The yard and view is amazing. The nearby town has a few tavernas and mini marts, and the area is filled with British expats. The nearest beach is 15-20 minutes away.
