"Getting there is about an hour drive from Aomori city and hotel has nothing surrounding it but green. Perfect for a getaway but not ideal if wanting to explore Aomori city. The building is old but definitely revamped on the inside, and the option for Japanese style room is available (which the staff make the futon for you). "This hotel is in a very small town and if very comfortable and well maintained. The staff were very helpful and the onsen was excellent. The room was smaller than I expected and did not have a bathroom or toilet. Also no meals appeared to be available unless they were purchased as part of your room booking."

"We stayed in a Japanese style family room. It was clean and comfortable. Futons were a little thin so we stacked the extras for my husband. The food was delicious and the staff very warm and welcoming. We took the trailhead across from the hotel and enjoyed a run by the lake. Beautiful area. "
