A friend and I stayed here so we could go to the Bristol Renaissance Faire. At check-in, we were given a weird sort of “riot act” speech about not having parties in our rooms. We were also lectured about not smoking in the rooms. In my experience when you check in to a hotel you agree to their terms, and abide by the signs in the rooms/hallways. It was just off-putting to be lectured to like teenagers, when we are in fact adults in our 30s.
I also asked staff for extra shampoo for the room, and it was like they didn’t have any extra to spare, and it was a massive inconvenience to give us an extra bottle.
Overall the room was clean, the breakfast was acceptable, and the facilities seemed nice enough. Noise wasn’t an issue. It was just a place to lay our heads at night for the weekend, and physically just like any run of the mill hotel.
